of October, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
two.

WHEREAS by the Regulations for the Sale and
Disposal of Lands taken under the authority
of "The New Zealand Settlements Act, 1863," and
"The New Zealand Settlements Amendment and
Continuance Act, 1865," contained in the Schedule
to an Order in Council made and issued, bearing date
the 11th of May, 1871, it is provided that reserves
for roads, and all other public purposes whatever,
and for education, and the sites for churches and
chapels or other places of worship for different
religious denominations, may be made by Govern-
ment out of any confiscated lands, and that notices
of all such reserves shall be published in the New
Zealand Gazette : It is hereby notified, that the
lands specified in the Schedule hereunder written
shall be reserved for the purposes therein mentioned
and set opposite the descriptions of the said parcels
of land respectively.

PURSUANT to the provisions of an Act of the
General Assembly of New Zealand, passed in
the eighteenth year of the reign of Her Majesty
Queen Victoria, and intituled "The Marriage Act,
1854," the following names of Officiating Ministers
within the meaning of the said Act, are published for
general information:—

United Church of England and Ireland.
The Reverend RICHARD HENRY MITCHELL.
Roman Catholic Church.
The Reverend JOHN O'CONNELL.

I, JOHN B. BENNETT, Registrar-General of Births,
Deaths, and Marriages in New Zealand, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Names of Officiating
Ministers, within the meaning of " The Marriage
Act, 1854," have been sent in to me, in addition to
the names in Lists published in the New Zealand
Gazette, No. 6, of the 31st of January; No. 9, of the
19th of February; No. 13, of the 14th of March;
No. 14, of the 23rd of March; No. 16, of the 4th of
April; No. 19, of the 24th of April; No. 24, of the
1st of May; No. 31, of the 22nd of June; No.

32, of the 1st of July; No. 33, of the 10th of July;
No. 34, of the 15th of July; No. 41, of the 22nd of
August; No. 43, of the 4th of September; and No.
51, of the 10th of October, in the present year.

1867:" Notice is hereby given, that a transcript
of the By-laws of
"The Loyal Renwick Lodge, No. 5507, of the
Marlborough, New Zealand, Independent
Order of Odd Fellows Friendly Society,"
duly certified, has been lodged with the Registrar of
Friendly Societies, registered and recorded in his
office, under the provisions of "The Friendly Societies
Act, 1867."

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in
me as Commissioner appointed by His Excellency
the Governor to carry out the Regulations for the
Sale of Lands taken for Settlement under "The New
Zealand Settlements Act, 1863," in the Province of
Auckland, I do hereby notify that the Town and
Special Rural Lands specified in the Schedule here-
under will be offered for Sale by Public Auction, in
accordance with the said Regulations, at the Waikato
Lands Office, Auckland, at Noon, on Tuesday, the
3rd day of December, 1872.
