WELLINGTON MUTUAL INVESTMENT SOCIETY,
CLASS No. 2.

NOTICE.—Pursuant to a Resolution of the Com-
mittee, a General Meeting of the Shareholders
in Class No. 2 of this Society will be held in the
Hall of the Mechanics' Institute, on Monday, the
eighteenth day of November, 1872, at Eight o'clock
in the evening precisely, for the purpose of con-
sidering the following proposition, viz. :—" That
Class No. 2 of this Society be dissolved on and from
the eighteenth day of December, 1872, or such other
day as may be fixed by the Meeting."

The Assets of this Class of the Society, calculated
to such eighteenth day of December, 1872, after
providing for every liability, are estimated to amount
in value on that date to the sum of £60,000 or
thereabouts, which will enable the Committee to pay
or allow in respect of each unrealized Share of this
Class the sum of eighteen pounds eight shillings and
sixpence, or thereabouts.

In respect of realized Shares, it is proposed, for the
purpose of conversion, to deal with the securities by
deducting from the original liability to the Society
the value of the Shares, and taking cash or mortgages
for the balances; such mortgages to bear interest at
the rate of eight pounds per cent. per annum ; and in
respect of mortgages to the Trustees securing pay-
ment of principal sums, it is proposed to refer to a
fixed date the final payments of principal money. *
