Colonial Secretary's Office,
Wellington, 18th October, 1872.

THE following Letter, the enclosures to which have
not yet been received, is published for general
information.

JOHN HALL.

SIR, — Sydney, New South Wales,
18th September, 1872.

I am directed by Standing Committee of the
Agricultural Society of New South Wales to inform
you that the Council have decided upon holding the
Metropolitan Intercolonial Exhibition, under the
auspices of the Society, in Sydney, on the 22nd
April, 1873.

This being the Triennial Exhibition, it will, like
that of 1870, be based on a much larger scale than
the yearly Shows of the Society.

The Council intend to divide the Exhibition
Building into separate courts, and allot one to each
of the Colonies who apply for space.

I have by this post forwarded to you Prize
Schedules and Plans of the Exhibition Grounds and
Buildings, and am requested to ask you to appoint a
Commission to see that the products of your Colony
have a fair representation.
