ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this
twenty-fourth day of June, 1872.
Present:
THE HONORABLE WILLIAM FOX, PRIME MINISTER,
PRESIDING, AND MEMBERS OF THE EXECUTIVE
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly
of New Zealand, intituled "The Supreme Court
Act, 1870," it is provided that there shall be held
Circuit Courts for the despatch of civil and criminal
business of the Court, before one of the Judges
thereof, at such places and times as the Governor in
Council may from time to time appoint:
Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor, with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
New Zealand, doth hereby fix and appoint that a
Circuit Court shall be held in the Court House at
Lawrence, in the Province of Otago, in the Judicial
District of Otago and Southland, on the second
Monday in each of the months of June and Decem-
ber in each and every year, or as soon after as
may be convenient, for the despatch of civil and
criminal business of the Court, before the Judge
thereof to whom the said district has been assigned:
Provided that if and whenever any of the days hereby
appointed for holding a Circuit Court shall happen
to be a holiday at the Supreme Court, then the
Circuit Court appointed to be holden on such day
shall be holden on the first day thereafter which
shall not be such holiday.

said revenues and sums of money which have been
and from time to time hereafter may be received
under the provisions of "The Stamp Duties Act
Amendment Act, 1871," in respect of such Incorpo-
rated Companies so carrying on business as aforesaid,
shall be apportioned between and amongst the several
Provinces and the County of Westland in proportion
to the populations of such Provinces and County
respectively, as the same are fixed by, or from time
to time may be fixed under the provisions of "The
Payments to Provinces Act, 1871," or any Act
amending or continuing the same, or passed for like
purpose: Provided that nothing herein contained
shall interfere with or affect the provisions of the
twenty-third section of "The Public Works Act,
1870," providing for the appropriation of a moiety
of the Stamp Duties therein mentioned.

THE HONORABLE JULIUS VOGEL, COLONIAL
TREASURER, PRESIDING, AND MEMBERS OF THE
EXECUTIVE COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the eleventh section of "The
Public Domains Act, 1860," it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, by Order in
Council, delegate all or any of the powers thereby
conferred to any person for any period, and subject
to such stipulations as may be specified in such
order, and that every such delegation may from time
to time in like manner be altered or revoked: And
whereas it is enacted by "The Public Domains Act
Amendment Act, 1865," that the word "person" in
the said eleventh section of the said Act shall be
deemed to include more persons than one: And
whereas by the second section of "The Auckland
Military Reserves Act, 1871," it is declared that all
the land mentioned or described in the First Schedule
to the said Act is subject to the provisions of "The
Public Domains Act, 1860," and "The Public
Domains Act Amendment Act, 1865:"
Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, doth by this present order revoke the
delegation under the said "Public Domains Act,
1860," contained in preceding Orders in Council, and
doth in like manner by this present order delegate,
in respect of lands contained in the Schedules to the
last said Act, and "The Auckland Military Reserves
Act, 1871," respectively, all the powers conferred by
the said Act, except the powers under subsections
two, five, and ten of section five, and under section
eleven, to the under-mentioned persons-
His Honor the Superintendent of Auckland,
who shall be Chairman;
Francis Dart Fenton, Esquire;
Theophilus Heale, Esquire;
George Manners Mitford, Esquire;
George Burgoyne Owen, Esquire;
His Worship the Mayor of the City of Auck-
land;
The Chairman of the Highway Road Board,
Parnell;
The Chairman of the Highway Road Board,
Newton;
The Chairman of the Highway Road Board,
Dedwood;

THE HONORABLE JULIUS VOGEL, COLONIAL TREA-
SURER, PRESIDING, AND MEMBERS OF THE
EXECUTIVE COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by "The Surplus Revenues Act,
1858," it is, among other things, enacted that
if any portion of the ordinary revenue shall be
received in respect of more than one Province, such
an equitable apportionment thereof shall be made
between the several Provinces interested as the
Governor in Council shall from time to time direct:
And whereas under the provisions of "The Stamp
Duties Act Amendment Act, 1871," certain revenues
and sums of money have been and may hereafter be
received from the issue of annual licenses to Incor-
porated Companies, as by the said Act is provided:
And whereas such revenues and sums of money form
portions of the ordinary revenue of the Colony, and
have been, and from time to time will be, received
from Incorporated Companies carrying on business
cotemporaneously by branches or agencies in the
several Provinces or other divisions of the Colony,
and it is expedient that an apportionment of such
revenues should be made as hereinafter provided:
Now therefore, His Excellency Sir George Fergu-
son Bowen, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and
authority vested in him by the hereinbefore in part
recited Act, and of all other powers and authorities
enabling him in that behalf, and by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Colony, doth hereby order and direct that the
