THE following Notice to Mariners, received from
the Superintendent of Pilots, Lights, and Har-
bours, Sydney, is published for general information.

NOTICE TO MARINERS.
FIXED RED LIGHT AT WOLLONGONG.
On the 1st of March next, the temporary Light at

Wollongong will be substituted by a Fixed Red
Light, situated on the extremity of the Breakwater,
at an elevation of 56 feet above high watermark.
This Light will be visible from a ship's deck at a
distance of ten miles when the entrance to the port
is opened between the compass bearings of S.S.W.
and W. by N.N., but will be eclipsed over the
Bellambi Reef, and also over the lowland between
Five Islands Point and Wollongong Head.
The entrance can therefore be approached if the
Light is in sight. When the Port is neared and a
vessel is rounding the Breakwater it will be lost
sight of, and afterwards come into view as a guide
for proceeding into the Basin.

within the meaning of the said Act, are published for
general information:-

Free Church of Scotland.
The Reverend DAVID HAMILTON.

I, JOHN B. BENNETT, Registrar-General of Births,
Deaths, and Marriages in New Zealand, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Names of Officiating
Ministers, within the meaning of "The Marriage
Act, 1854," have been sent in to me in addition to
the names in Lists published in the New Zealand
Gazette, No. 6, of the 31st of January; No. 9, of
the 19th of February; and No. 13, of the 14th of
March, in the present year.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this
fifteenth day of March, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-two.

made by me for this Judicial District be cancelled,
and they are hereby cancelled; and in lieu thereof I
do appoint, for the purposes of this Act, the Welling-
ton Independent newspaper to be a Gazette for the
