AMES BOWDEN, Master Mariner, deceased,
supposed to have been lost at sea in June, 1863,
near the coast of Australia.

Under the provisions of "The Public Payments
without Probate Act, 1869," and the Regulations
made thereunder, published in the New Zealand
Gazette of 1870, page 212, the Colonial Treasurer
intends to make a payment of money due to the
above-named deceased, to a person not being his
legal representative. All persons objecting to such
payment being made must give notice to the Colonial
Treasurer, at Wellington, within one calendar month
from the date of the Gazette containing this notice
when their objections will be considered.

In the matter of "The Friendly Societies Act,
1867," notice is hereby given, that a transcript of
certified alterations to the revised By-laws for the
government of
"The Sanctuary Sir George Grey, of Wellington,
No. 3,118, of the Ancient Order of Shepherds
Friendly Society,"
duly certified, has been lodged with the Registrar of
Friendly Societies, registered and recorded in his office
under the provisions of "The Friendly Societies Act,
1867."

chester Unity Independent Order of Odd
Fellows Friendly Society,"
duly certified, has been lodged with the Registrar of
Friendly Societies, registered and recorded in his
office under the provisions of "The Friendly Societies
Act, 1867."

General Assembly of New Zealand, passed in
the eighteenth year of the reign of Her Majesty
Queen Victoria, and intituled "The Marriage Act,
1854," the following names of Officiating Ministers,
within the meaning of the said Act, are published for
general information :-

The Reverend WILLIAM WORKER.

I, JOHN B. BENNETT, Registrar-General of Births,
Deaths, and Marriages, in New Zealand, do hereby
certify that the foregoing Names of Officiating
Ministers, within the meaning of "The Marriage
Act, 1854," have been sent in to me in addition to
the names in Lists published in the New Zealand
Gazette, No. 7, of the 31st of January; and No. 14,
of the 25th of February, in the present year.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this
fifteenth day of March, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-one.

JOHN MUIR WAYLAND, Registrar of
Joint Stock Companies for the Provinces of
Auckland and Hawke's Bay, in the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby notify that I have registered a
Memorandum of Association, with Articles of Asso-
ciation, establishing a Company, with limited liability
of the shareholders therein, entitled

"The Flying Cloud Gold Mining Company,
Limited."

The objects for which the Company is established
are-

(a.) To acquire ground or land, by purchase, amal-
gamation, lease, agreement, miner's right, or other-
wise, within the boundaries of the Thames Gold
Fields, in the Province of Auckland.

"(b.) To obtain any precious or other metal or
mineral by any mode or method whatsoever, where-
by the soil or earth, or any rock or stone, may be
disturbed, removed, carted, carried, washed, lifted,
smelted, refined, crushed, or otherwise dealt with, for
the purpose of obtaining such metal or mineral from
any ground or land which the Company now own or
may hereafter acquire as aforesaid.

"(c.) To purchase, construct, erect, and maintain
machinery of any kind whatsoever, and let the same,
or use the same for hire, for any of the purposes in
paragraph (b) hereinbefore set forth.

"(d.) To purchase, construct, erect, and maintain
races, sluices, and watercourses, and let or sell the
water or water power therefrom or thereof for any of
the purposes in paragraph (b) set forth.

"(e.) To enter into arrangements whereby share-
holders, or some of them, in other Companies may
receive, in compensation for the sale of their interests
in any ground or land within the said Thames Gold
Fields, paid up or partly paid up or other shares in
the Company.

"(f.) And to do all such other things as are inci-
dental or conducive to the attainment of the above
objects, or generally to mine for gold within the
Thames Gold Fields."

And that, in pursuance of the provisions of "The
Joint Stock Companies Act, 1860," I have issued a
Certificate of Incorporation of the said Company,
bearing date this first day of March, 1871.

WILLIAM PATRICK CRAWFORD, Registrar
of Joint Stock Companies for the County of
Westland, do hereby notify that I have this day
registered a Memorandum of Association establishing
a Company, with limited liability of the shareholders
therein, entitled

"The Grey Valley Tramway Company, Limited,"

The objects for which the Company is established
are expressed to be-

"The formation and working of a tramway, to serve
also as a horse track, from Greymouth to the Coal
Gorge, and such extension of the said works as may
hereafter be determined on."

And I hereby further notify, that, in pursuance of
the provisions of "The Joint Stock Companies Act,
1860," a Certificate of Incorporation of the above-
named Company has been duly issued, bearing even
date herewith.
