ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, the
tenth day of August, 1870.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by "The Maori Real Estate Manage-
ment Act, 1867," it is enacted that if any title
to or interest in any hereditaments shall accrue to
any Maoris who, or any of whom, shall be infants,
lunatics, or under legal disability, it shall be lawful
for the Governor in Council, if he think fit, to order
that such hereditaments, or any part thereof, or
interest therein, as shall to the Governor in Council
be shown to belong to such infant, lunatic, or other
person under legal disability, shall be vested in
Trustees, as the Governor in Council shall think fit:

And whereas by virtue of a Crown Grant bearing
date the twenty-first day of January, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy, the parcel of land and
hereditaments described in the Schedule hereto
became vested in Hori Te Moana and Wata Te Hina,
of the District of Whanganui, in the Province of
Wellington, aboriginal natives of New Zealand:

And whereas the said Hori Te Moana and Wata
Te Hina are infants under the age of twenty-one
years:

Now therefore, His Excellency Sir George Fer-
guson Bowen, the Governor of New Zealand, with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the Colony, in exercise and in pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the said Act,
doth hereby order that the lands described in the
Schedule hereto shall be and remain vested in the
Reverend Richard Taylor, of Whanganui, M.A., and
Clerk in Holy Orders, and Hakaraia Korako, of
Whanganui, an aboriginal native of New Zealand, as
Trustees within the meaning and for the purposes of
the said Act, for the said Hori Te Moana and Wata
Te Hina, their heirs and assigns.

SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in our Province of
Wellington, in our Colony of New Zealand, contain-
ing by admeasurement twenty-one (21) acres and
(28) perches more or less, situate at Putiki, in the
District of Whanganui, being called or known by the
name of "Kaiate No. 1," and numbered ninety-five
N (95 N); bounded towards the North by the No. 2
Line of Whanganui District, one thousand five
hundred and forty-eight (1,548) links; towards the
East by the Manawakoaro No. 3 Block, seven
hundred and seventy-seven (777) links, and eight
hundred and fifty-one (851) links; towards the South
by the Kaiate No. 2 Block, one thousand nine hundred
and sixty-two (1,962) links; and towards the West
by the Great North-Western Road, one thousand
three hundred and fifty-four (1,354) links.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by "The Mining Companies Limited
Liability Act, 1865," it is enacted that the Gover-
nor in Council may from time to time appoint in and for
each Mining District some proper person to be Official
Agent in and for such district, and may require
of such person such security as he thinks fit, and may
remove any such Official Agent, and in such case and in
the case of the death or resignation of any such Official
Agent, the Governor in Council may appoint another
in his stead: And whereas Cæsar Hastings Otway,
Esq., was by an Order in Council bearing date the
second day of November, one thousand eight hundred
and sixty-nine, appointed to be Official Agent subject
to the provisions contained in the said Act and "The
Mining Companies Limited Liability Act Amendment
Act, 1869," in and for the Mining District of the
Thames Gold Fields, and it is expedient to remove
the said Cæsar Hastings Otway from the said office,
and to appoint another person in his stead: Now
therefore, His Excellency the Governor in Council,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the Colony, doth hereby remove the said
Cæsar Hastings Otway from the said office of Official
Agent under the provisions of the said recited Acts
for the Mining District of the Thames Gold Fields,
and appoint

HORATIO NELSON WARNER, Esq.,
of Auckland, in the Province of Auckland, to be the
Official Agent, subject to the provisions contained
in the said recited Acts, in and for the Mining
District of the Thames Gold Fields, and doth hereby
require of the said Horatio Nelson Warner security
by bond with two approved sureties in the form and
to the amount specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
KNOW all men by these presents that we 1

and are held and firmly bound
unto Her Majesty Queen Victoria in the sum of
five hundred pounds of good and lawful money of
Great Britain, to be paid unto our said Lady the
Queen, her heirs and successors, for which pay-
ment well and truly to be made we bind ourselves
and every of us, jointly and severally, for and in
the whole, and the heirs, executors, and adminis-
trators of us and every of us, firmly by these
presents. Sealed with our seals. Dated this
day of

WHEREAS the said

Official Agent under "The Mining Companies
Limited Liability Act, 1865," and whereas the above
bounden
have agreed to join
with the said

obligation as the sureties of the said

due and faithful performance of the duties of his
said office:

Now the condition of the above-written obligation
is such that if the said
from time to time, so
long as he shall continue and be employed in the
said office, shall duly perform the duties of the said
office, under the said Act and under "The Mining
Companies Limited Liability Act Amendment Act,
1869," and duly account for and pay over all moneys
which shall come to the possession or be under the
control of himself or his agents, by reason of or by
virtue of the said office or employment; and shall
from time to time observe and keep all such orders
and instructions as he shall receive from the Governor
of New Zealand for the time being touching the due
performance and execution of the said office; and
shall from time to time, and at all times hereafter,
so long as he shall hold the said office, well and truly,
faithfully and honestly, to the best of his skill and
ability, exercise, obey, discharge, and perform all the
duties thereof, and also all the powers, directions,
duties, and obligations given to, conferred upon, or
to be performed and discharged by him under any
law for the time being relating to the said office;
and shall, when thereunto required, deliver up all
books, deeds, orders and decrees of the Judges of
the District Court or of the Supreme Court, vouchers
and other papers relating to the said office, and also
