HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to
grant Letters of Registration in favour of
JOHN HUNT,
of Porthleven, in the County of Cornwall, England,
(but now residing near Geelong, in the Colony of
Victoria,) gentleman, on Letters Patent dated
seventh day of December, 1868, granted to him in
the said Colony of Victoria for an invention intituled
"Improved arrangements of Mechanism for Washing
and Separating Gold and other Ores, as well as
Precious Stones."

IN conformity with "The Municipal Corporations
Act, 1867," it is hereby notified that a Memorial
has been presented to His Excellency the Governor
by the Mayor and Councillors of the Borough of
Lyttelton, praying that a piece of land recently
reclaimed from the sea, adjoining the Borough of
Lyttelton, and containing about nine acres and
three roods, may be annexed to the Borough of
Lyttelton, and that His Excellency the Governor
has been pleased to order that the said intended
annexation be taken into consideration on the
fifteenth day of October, 1869.

which is in great confusion.
