of members for the Grey Road District, as the same | or for any part thereof, Wardens' Courts, for the
is altered and defined by the present Order in administration of justice therein, and to appoint
Council; and that the provisions for the constitution Wardens of such Courts with power to act alone or
of boards, the regulations for election of members, with assessors, and in such manner and to exercise
and all other the provisions and regulations of the all or any of the powers thereinafter mentioned as
said Order in Council of the eighth day of January, the Governor shall think fit to direct:
1868, not inconsistent herewith, shall be applicable
to the Grey Road District, as defined in the Schedule
hereto, in the same manner as if that district had
been so defined and constituted in the said Order in
Council of the eighth day of January, 1868.
Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the Colony doth hereby, in pursuance
and exercise of the power and authority vested in
him for this purpose, appoint
JACKSON KEDDELL, Esq.,
to be a Warden of all Wardens' Courts now con-
stituted or hereafter to be constituted within the
Gold Fields of the Province of Auckland, with
power to him to act alone or with assessors, and to
exercise all or any of the powers vested in or imposed
on Judges of Wardens' Courts.

SCHEDULE.
The Grey Road District.
Commencing at a point on the sea coast one
hundred and sixty chains and eighty links to the
southward of the South Spit at the mouth of the
River Grey; thence Easterly along the southern
boundary of the town of Greymouth one hundred
and fifteen chains and fifty links; thence Northerly
along the eastern boundary of the town of Grey-
mouth to the River Grey; thence Easterly along that
river to the junction with it of the Arnold River;
thence along the Arnold River to Lake Brunner and
along the boundary of the Province of Nelson to the
source of the Teremakau; thence following down the
northern bank of the Teremakau to the coast, and
along the coast to the commencing point.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, the
twelfth day of August, 1868.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by "The Court of Appeal Act, 1862,"
it is enacted that the Court shall hold its
sittings at such times and places as shall be, from
time to time, fixed by the Governor in Council, and
proclaimed in the Government Gazette sixty days at
least before the time so fixed respectively. And
whereas by an Order in Council, bearing date the
fifth instant, the twenty-second day of October next
has been appointed to be the day on which a sitting
of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand shall be held
at Wellington, and it is expedient to revoke the said
order and to appoint another day for such sitting:
Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor, with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
New Zealand, doth hereby revoke the said order of
the fifth instant, and fix that a sitting of the Court of
Appeal of New Zealand shall be held within the
Supreme Court, in the City of Wellington, and
Province of Wellington, upon the twelfth day of
October, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-
eight, at eleven o'clock in the forenoon.

133 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867,"
the name of the following person has been sent in to
this office by the Town Clerk, as having been elected
Mayor for the borough of Timaru, viz.:

WHEREAS by "The Gold Fields Act, 1866," it
is amongst other things enacted that it shall
be lawful for the Governor, by Order in Council,
from time to time to constitute for any Gold Field,

3 of "The Otago Municipal Corporations Act,
1865," the names of the following persons have been
sent in to this office by the Town Clerks, as having
been elected Mayors for the places set opposite their

and published in New Zealand Gazette, No. 35, of the
twenty-ninth day of June, 1868.
