WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of
New Zealand, intituled “The New Zealand
Settlements Acts Amendment Act, 1866,” power is
given to the Governor to reserve portions of any of
the land taken under “ The New Zealand Settlements
Act, 1863,” for the several purposes for which
reserves may be made under the twelfth section of
“ The Waste Lands Act, 1858,” and may make grants
thereof under “ The Public Reserves Act, 1854,” or
otherwise, as the case may require. And whereas for
the purposes for which such reserves may be made
under the said twelfth section of the said “ Waste
Lands Act, 1858,” are for the construction of
trunk lines of road, or as sites for public buildings
for the use of the General Government, or for other
purposes of public utility or convenience. And
whereas the several pieces of land described in the
Schedule hereunder written, have been taken under
“ The New Zealand Settlements Act, 1863,” and it
is expedient that they should be reserved for the
purpose herein set forth:

Now therefore I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen, the
Governor of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise
of the powers so vested in me, do hereby except from
sale and reserve to Her Majesty, her heirs and
successors, the several pieces of land described in the
Schedule hereunder written as sites for public build-
ings or other purposes of the General Government.

SCHEDULE.
PROVINCE OF AUCKLAND.

COUNTY OF EDEN.
Village of Pakington.

Lots nine (9) and ten (10), section twenty-three
(23) containing by admeasurement one (1) rood
twenty-four (24) poles, more or less; bounded
towards the North-east by lot Number eight (8) two
hundred (200) links; towards the South-east by a
street two hundred (200) links; towards the South-
west by a street two hundred (200) links; and
towards the North-west by a Reserve two hundred
(200) links.

Section sixty-five (65) containing by admeasurement
three (3) roods and twenty-seven (27) perches, more
or less; bounded towards the North-east, South-east
and South-west by streets two hundred and five (205)
links, three hundred (300) links, and three hundred
and thirty eight (338) links respectively; and towards
the North by the Mauku River.

Village of Drury.

Lots thirty-seven (37) and thirty-eight (38) con-
taining by admeasurement two (2) roods and sixteen
(16) poles, more or less; bounded towards the North-
east by Lots fifty-two (52) and fifty-three (53) two
hundred (200) links; towards the South-east by Lot
thirty-nine (39) three hundred (300) links; towards
the South-west by the Great South Road two
hundred (200) links; and towards the North-west
by Cross Street three hundred (300) links.

Lot sixty-eight (68) containing by admeasurement
three (3) roods and twenty-seven (27) perches;
bounded towards the North and East by the Hingaia
Stream; towards the South by a street forty-eight
(48) links; and towards the West by Short Street
four hundred (400) links.

TOWN OF PAPAKURA.
Kiri Kiri Block.

Lots two hundred and one (201), two hundred and
two (202), and two hundred and three (203).

Town of Pokeno.

Lots seven hundred and eighty (780), seven
hundred and eighty-one (781) and seven hundred and
eighty-two (782).

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Village of Waiuku West.

Lots one (1), two (2), three (3), four (4), five (5)
and six (6) of section one (1) containing by
admeasurement three (3) acres, one (1) rood and
twenty-eight (28) perches, more or less ; bounded
towards the North by Hood Street six hundred and
forty (640) links; towards the East by the Waiuku
River; towards the South by Shakespeare Street
eight hundred and seventy-seven (877) links; and
towards the West by Campbell Street four hundred
(400) links.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir
George Ferguson Bowen, Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this tenth day of
August, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twelfth day of August, 1868.

Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by “The County of Westland Act,
1867,” it is enacted that it shall be lawful for
the Governor in Council to constitute and define
Road Districts in the County of Westland, and such
districts from time to time to alter or abolish, and to
provide for the constitution of boards for the manage-
ment of the business of such districts, and from time
to time to make regulations for the election of such
boards, and for defining the number of members
thereof, and such regulations from time to time to
alter and repeal. And whereas by an Order in
Council, bearing date the eighth day of January,
1868, His Excellency the Governor, in exercise of
the powers vested in him by the said Act did, with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the Colony, constitute and define the districts there-
mentioned, (including amongst other districts the
Grey Road District), and did provide for the consti-
tution of boards for the management of the business
of such districts, and did make regulations for the
election of members thereof, and for defining the
number of members thereof, as in the said Order in
Council mentioned. And whereas it is expedient to
alter the boundaries of the Grey Road District, as
defined in the said Order in Council, in manner
hereafter appearing:

Now therefore, His Excellency the Governor, in
exercise of the power vested in him as aforesaid, doth
hereby, with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the Colony, alter the boundaries of the
Grey Road District, so that the boundaries thereof
shall be the boundaries defined in the Schedule
hereto. And His Excellency the Governor, in
further exercise of the power aforesaid, and with the
like advice and consent as aforesaid, doth hereby
further order and declare that the board of members
elected for the Grey Road District as heretofore
constituted, shall remain and be the board of members
for the Grey Road District as altered and defined by
this present Order in Council. That WILLIAM HORTON
REVELL, Esq., the person named as Returning Officer
for the Grey Road District in the said Order in
Council of the eighth day of January, 1868, shall
remain and be the Returning Officer for the election
