THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

Nui River first mentioned, and thence by the Kauri
Nui River to the commencing point. Also including
486 acres of the Kakikatea bush land as set forth in
the deed indorsed upon the deed of conveyance of
the Ruapekapeka Block, and dated thirteenth June,
1865. The following reserves are excepted, viz.:
At Te Mairi, 11 acres; at Kaiwaka, 19 acres; at
Otarari, 18\u00be acres; at Tirohanga, 65\u00be acres; and a
reserve at Pukiti, as more particularly delineated on
the plan drawn in the margin of the deed of purchase
of the Ruapekapeka Block aforesaid.

IT is hereby notified that the Native Title has been
extinguished over the block of land whereof the
boundaries are mentioned or described in the
Schedule hereunto annexed.

PROVINCE OF HAWKE'S BAY, OTUMATAI BLOCK.
Estimated to contain 4470 acres.

Boundaries-The boundary commences at Witi-
hanga, thence to the Waikare River, thence to Te
Koau, thence to the mouth of Matahourua, thence to
the mouth of Mangeongeo, following up the Man-
geongeo till it strikes the boundary of the first sale of
land to the Queen, namely the Moeangiangi Block,
thence following that boundary to Otumatai, here it
runs out to the sea, turns and follows the sea-coast
to Witihanga, containing in admeasurement four
thousand four hundred and seventy acres, more or
less, and known by the name of Otumatai.

IN exercise of the authority contained in Section
VI. of "The New Zealand Settlements Amend-
ment and Continuance Act, 1865," the Colonial
Secretary, on behalf of the Crown, abandons the
right to take all or any of the land in the Ngati-
ruanui Coast Block lying eastward of the western
boundary of the Waitotara Block, and of a line
North 22\u00bd\u00b0 East, in production of that boundary
northwards to the north-eastern boundary of the
said Ngatiruanui Coast Block; and the aforesaid
land is accordingly excluded from the operations of
"The New Zealand Settlements Act, 1863," "The
New Zealand Settlements Amendment Act, 1864,"
and "The New Zealand Settlements Amendment and
Continuance Act, 1865."
