THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
aboriginal inhabitants is required to bringing land
under the operation of the said "Native Reserves
Act, 1856," the Governor may, by Order in Council,
declare such assent to have been ascertained, and
thereupon the title of the aboriginal inhabitants in
the land to which the same shall relate shall be
deemed to be extinguished, and the land shall, from
the date of such Order in Council, vest in Her
Majesty, for the purposes and subject to the pro-
visions of the said "Native Reserves Act, 1856," as
altered by the recited Act, and that as effectually as
if the same had been ceded and conveyed by such
aboriginal inhabitants to Her Majesty:
more or less, and known as Native Reserve No. 33
on the plan of the Grey District, bounded towards
the North by the River Grey; towards the East,
seven thousand four hundred (7400) links, by Crown
land; to the South, three thousand six hundred
(3600) links, by Crown land; and towards the West,
six thousand six hundred (6600) links, by Crown
land.
Now therefore His Excellency the Governor, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, doth hereby declare that the assent of the
aboriginal inhabitants to the bringing the pieces of
land described in Schedules A., B., C., D., E., F.,
hereunder written, under the operation of "The
Native Reserves Act, 1856," has been ascertained.

SCHEDULE F.
All that piece of land situate at Kotukuwhakaho,
on the River Grey, Province of Canterbury, contain-
ing by admeasurement two hundred and fifty (250)
acres, more or less, and known as Native Reserve
No. 34 on the plan of the said district, bounded
towards the North by the River Grey; towards the
East, seven thousand two hundred and fifty (7250)
links, by the River Arnold; to the South, three
thousand six hundred (3600) links, by Crown land;
and to the West, seven thousand two hundred and
fifty (7250) links, by Crown land.

I, GEORGE F. SWAINSON, a person duly ap-
pointed in this behalf, under the provisions of
"The New Zealand Native Reserves Act, 1856,"
hereby certify and report that I have ascertained that
the aboriginal inhabitants entitled to the piece or
parcel of land described in the Schedule hereunder
written have assented that the said piece or parcel of
land shall be subject to the provisions of the said
Act.
As witness my hand this 6th day of February,
1866.

SCHEDULE above referred to.
All that piece of land situated at Porirua, District
of Wellington. The boundary commences at Nga-
pekerere, thence to Hamutawa, thence along the
boundary of the land previously given up to the
Commissioner to Rangituhi, thence along the said
boundary to Te Uru Kahika, thence to Putaputa, (the
boundary of Ellison's land,) thence along that boun-
dary to Ngapekerere where it joins.
Report adopted this 23rd day of February, 1866,
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the Colony.

I, ALEXANDER MACKAY, a person duly ap-
pointed in this behalf, under the provisions of
"The New Zealand Native Reserves Act, 1856,"
hereby certify and report that I have ascertained
that the aboriginal inhabitants entitled to the piece
or parcel of land described in the Schedule hereunder
written, have assented that the said piece or parcel
SCHEDULE A.
All that piece of land situate at Okarito on the
West Coast, Province of Canterbury, containing by
admeasurement thirteen (13) acres, more or less, and
known as Native Reserve No. 18, bounded towards
the North, sixteen hundred (1600) links, by a public
street or road; towards the East, thirteen hundred
(1300) links, by a public street; towards the South,
nineteen hundred and sixty (1960) links, by a public
street; and towards the West, four hundred and
forty-three (443) links, also by a public street.
SCHEDULE В.
All that piece of land situate at Hokitika, in the
Province of Canterbury, containing by admeasure-
ment four hundred (400) acres, more or less, and
known as Native Reserve No. 24 on the plan of the
said district, bounded towaids the North by the
River Hokitika; towards the East, four thousand
(4000) links, by Crown land; towards the South,
nine thousand three hundred and fifty (9350) links,
by Crown land; and towards the West, five thousand
(5000) links, by freehold land.
SCHEDULE C.
All that piece of land situate at Arahura, on the
West Coast, Province of Canterbury, containing by
admeasurement two thousand (2000) acres, more or
less, and known as Native Reserve No. 26, bounded
towards the North, forty-eight thousand (48,000)
links, by Crown land; and towards the East, four
thousand (4000) links, by Crown land; towards the
South, forty-eight thousand (48,000) links, by Crown
land; and toward the West, four thousand (4000)
links, by highwater mark.
SCHEDULE D.
All that piece of land situate at Teremakau, in the
Province of Canterbury, containing by admeasure-
ment eighty-five (85) acres, more or less, and known
as Native Reserve No. 28 on the plan of the said
district, bounded towards the North, four thousand
four hundred (4400) links, by a public road; towards
the East by the River Teremakau; towards the South
partly by the said River and partly by a public
reserve; and towards the West, two thousand eight
hundred (2800) links, more or less, by high water
mark.
SCHEDULE E.
All that piece of land situate at Kaiata, on the
River Grey, Province of Canterbury, containing by
admeasurement two hundred and fifty (250) acres,
