—having been laid before the Queen in
conformity with the Provisions of the Consti-
tution Act, His Excellency the Governor
has been informed by the Secretary of State
that Her Majesty will not be advised to
exercise her power of disallowance with
respect to that Act.

and Drury.

NEW ZEALAND MAIL SERVICE.
PERSONS intending to tender for the New
Zealand Mail Service, in accordance
with the terms of an advertisement dated Gen-
eral Post Office, Auckland, June 22nd, 1863,
are requested to state separately in their ten-
ders—
1st. As respects the service from Otago to
Melbourne: What difference in the
amount of subsidy, if any, would be re-
quired, if the 17th or 18th days of the
month were substituted, as the date for
the mail steamers leaving Port Chal-
mers, instead of the 16th? The dif-
ference to be stated for each of these
dates.
2nd. As respects the service from Melbourne
to Otago: What additional sum per
diem would be required for each day's
detention of the steamer at Melbourne
beyond the four days stipulated for, up
to and inclusive of the 5th day, from
the due date of sailing?

NEW ZEALAND MAIL SERVICE.
A BONUS of £350 will be paid by the Sub-
Treasurer of the New Zealand Govern-
ment at Dunedin, to the master of any steam-
boat which shall leave Melbourne with the
New Zealand European Mails, within twenty-
four hours after the arrival of the P. and O.
Company's boat whenever the Aldinga has
left without them, and deliver the same to the
Postmaster at Dunedin, Otago, (landing the
South-land portion at the Bluff, weather per-
mitting,) within nine days of leaving Mel-
bourne.
This Bonus will be paid for each of the
months of August, September, October, Nov-
ember, and December of this year, immediately
after the Mail Agent (for whom a free chief
cabin passage must be provided) shall have
certified that the service has been duly per-
formed.
The Postmaster-General of Melbourne, or
some person appointed by him, must be satis-
fied that any boat offering has sufficient steam-
power to perform the service required; and in
case of there being a choice of boats, the sel-
ection to rest with that officer.

IN pursuance of the provisions of the
"Native Reserves Act 1856" the follow-
ing report and the adoption thereof is published
for general information.

1856."
I, Alfred Chetham Strode, a person duly
appointed in this behalf under the provisions
of the New Zealand Native Reserves Act,
1856, do hereby certify and report that I have
ascertained that the Aboriginal Inhabitants
entitled to a certain piece or parcel of land
described in the Schedule hereunder written
have assented that the said piece or parcel of
Land shall be subject to the provisions of the
said Act, and that the same shall be granted
by the Governor of New Zealand to the
members of the Chief Marine Board of New
Zealand, on a lease for ninty nine (99) years,
at an annual rental of Twenty Pounds sterling
(£20.)
In Trust for the purpose of erecting a
Lighthouse thereon.
Witness my hand this 21st day of July,
