PROVINCE OF OTAGO.

Clutha District.
Bounded towards the North by the Nokomai
Gold-Field; towards the East by the Dunstan,
Mount Benger and Tuapeka Gold Field to
Lovell's Creek, thence by Lovell's Creek, the
Tuakitoto Lake, Kaitangata Lake and Creek,
and the Clutha River to the Ocean; towards
the South by the Ocean; and towards the
West, by the Province of Southland.

Tokomairiro District.
Towards the North by Cairn Hill, Raggety
Ranges, and the Upper Taieri River;
towards the East by the Waikouaiti and
Dunedin Districts; towards the South by the
Ocean; and towards the West by the Gold
Fields and the Clutha District.

Dunedin District
Comprises the City of Dunedin, and that
portion of the Hundred of Dunedin not within
the limits of the Port Chalmers District.

Port Chalmers District
Comprises the Town of Port Chalmers and
all that area bounded towards the North by
the Waikouaiti District to Double Hill, thence
by a line to Mount Cargill; thence towards
the West by a line to the West corner of sec-
tion numbered 77, North-east Valley District
(survey), thence by the Western boundary of
sections numbered respectively 77 and 78,
and a line to the Western corner of section
numbered 16, Upper Harbour West District
(survey), thence by the Western boundary of
that section to the Harbour; towards the
Southlby the Harbour; and towards the East
by the Ocean.

Waikouaiti District.
Bounded towards the North by Fillyburn;
the Ranges, Deepdell Creek and Shag River,
towards the East by the Ocean; towards the
South by the Dunedin Hundred; and towards
the West by the Taieri River.

Oamaru District.
Bounded towards the North by the Waitaki
River; towards the East by the Ocean; towards
the South by the Waikoua ti District; towards
the West by the Shag River, the Wakanui
Mountains, and the Kurow Creek to the
Waitaki River.

PROVINCE OF NELSON.

Nelson and Suburban District.
Bounded on the Northward by Tasman and
Admiralty Bays to Point Dickins; on the
Eastward from Point Dickins to Squally Cove
by the Pelorus Sound, and thence to Mount
McLaren, and along the boundary line between
the Provinces of Nelson and Marlborough to
the Dun Mountain; on the Southward by a
line from the Dun Mountain to the source of
the Poor Man's Valley stream, and thence by
the banks of that stream to the Waimea East
Mud Flats; and on the Westward by the said
Mud Flats to the commencement of the
Northern boundary.

Waimea East and South.
Bounded on the Northward by the Waimea
Mud Flats from the mouth of the river Waimea
to the mouth of the Poor Man's Valley stream,
and thence by the Southern boundary of the
Nelson and Suburban District to the Dun
Mountain; on the Eastward by the boundary
line between the Nelson and Marlborough
Provinces, from the Dun Mountain to the Top-
House; on the South-eastward by the con-
tinuation of the said boundary line from the
Top-House to the Bare Fells, and thence down
the Rivers Guide and Acheron to the junction
of the Acheron with the River Clarence; on
the Southward by the River Clarence to the
junction of the River Styx; and on the
Westward by the River Clarence to Lake
Tennyson, thence to Mount Princess, thence
along the Aglionby Ranges to the Devil's
Grip on the River Buller, thence along the
mountain range on the Northern Bank of the
River Buller to the most Western branch of
the river Wangapeka and down that river to
its junction with the River Motueka, thence
along the said river to the stream known as
Bigg's Valley stream, thence up that stream
to the saddle of the Pigeon Valley stream,
thence down that stream to its junction with
the River Wai-iti, thence by the River Wai-iti
to its junction with the Rivers Wairoa and
Waimea, and thence by the River Waimea to
its mouth.

Waimea West and Moutere Districts.
Bounded on the Northward by Tasman Bay
from the mouth of the River Moutere to the
mouth of the River Waimea. On the East-
ward and Southward by the boundary of the
Waimea East and South District; and on the
Westward by the Watershed between the
Rivers Motueka and Wai-iti, commencing at
the saddle at the head of Pigeon Valley, and
continuing along the range to opposite the
branch of the River Moutere in section 132 on
the plan of the Moutere, and thence down
that stream to its junction with the River
Moutere, and thence down the River Moutere
to the sea.

Motueka, Riwaka and Sandy Bay District.
Bounded on the Northward by the spur
leading from Mount Richards to the coast at
Frenchman's Bay; on the Eastward by
Tasman's Bay from Frenchman's Bay to the
mouth of the River Moutere, and thence by
the boundary of the Waimea West and Moutere
District to the saddle at the heads of Bigg's
and Pigeon Valleys; on the Southward by
Bigg's Valley stream to its junction with the
river Motueka, and thence crossing the river
and by the nearest spur to the summit o
