Golden Bay District.
Bounded on the Northward by Golden Bay;
on the Eastward by Tasman's Bay, from
Separation Point to Frenchman's Bay, and
thence along the boundary of the Motueka,
Riwaka, and Sandy Bay District to Mount
Arthur; on the Southward by the mountain
rauge from Mount Arthur to Mount Domett,
and thence by a line from Mount Domett to
the West Coast at the mouth of the River
Heaphy; and on the Westward by the West
Coast from the mouth of the River Heaphy to
the sand spit.
Amuri District.
Bounded on the Northward from the mouth
of the River Conway on the East Coast, along
the boundary between the Nelson and Marl-
borough Provinces to the junction of the
Acheron with the Clarence River; thence along
the River Clarence to Lake Tennyson, and
thence to the summit of Mount Princess; on
the Eastward by the Coast line from the River
Conway to the River Hurunui; on the South-
ward by the river Hurunui to the saddle be-
tween the said river and the River Brunner;
and on the Westward by the mountain range
from the said saddle to Travers' Peak at the
Head of Cannibals' Gorge, thence along the
said range to the Fairy Queen, and thence to
Mount Princess.
PROVINCE OF WELLINGTON.
Wanganui District.
Bounded on the North-west by the Grey
and Bell Electoral District; on the South-west
by the sea between the Patea and and Wan-
gaehu Rivers; and on the South-east and East
by the Wangaehu River to Ruapahu Mountain
and thence by a line North to the centre of
Lake Taupo.
Rangitiki District.
Bounded on the North-east and East by a
line from the centre of Lake Taupo to the 39th
parallel of South latitude, thence by the Napier
and Clive Electoral Districts; on the South
by the Manawatu river from its Gorge in the
Ruahine range to its mouth; on the West by
the coast line between Manawatu River and
the Wangaehu River; and on the North-west
by the Wanganui District hereinbefore de-
fined.
Porirua District.
Bounded on the North by the Manawatu
River from its mouth to the Gorge in the
Ruahine Range; on the East and South-east
by the Wairarapa and Hutt Districts herein-
after defined, to the mouth of the Korokoro
stream in Port Nicholson; and on the South
and West by the coast line from the Korokoro
to the Manawatu, including the adjacent islands,
except the City of Wellington District here-
inafter defined.
City of Wellington District
Comprises the boundaries of the Town of
Wellington, including the Town Belt, as ori-
ginally laid out by the New Zealand Company.
Hutt Distict.
Bounded on the North-west by the Korokoro
Stream in Port Nicholson to its source, thence
along the hills forming the Watershed between
Port Nicholson and Porirua, to the Tararua
Range; on the East by the Tararua and
Rimutaka Ranges to Cape Turakirae; and on
the South by the sea, including Somes and
Ward Islands.
Wairarapa District.
Bounded on the North by a line from the
Manawatu Gorge to the mouth of the Waimata
Stream; on the East and South by the coast
line from the mouth of the Waimata Stream to
Cape Turakirae; and on the West by the Hutt
and Porirua Districts hereinbefore defined.

Authorising Extension of Jurisdiction of
Resident Magistrates' Courts.

At the Government House, at Auckland, the
seventeenth day of December, 1862.
Present:-
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the "Resident Magistrate's
Jurisdiction Extension Act, 1862," it
is enacted that the limits of Jurisdiction of any
Resident Magistrate's Court within the Colony
may be extended in manner therein set forth,
and it is further enacted that the second and
third sections of the said Act shall come into
force in respect of any Resident Magistrate's
Court, on a day to be determined by a Procla-
mation in the Government Gazette pursuant
to an Order of the Governor in Council:
And whereas it is expedient to authorise the
issue of such Proclamations in terms of the
Act before recited:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor,
with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of New Zealand, doth hereby order
and direct that the said first and second sections
of the "Resident Magistrate's Jurisdiction
Extension Act" shall come into force in respect
of any Resident Magistrate's Court within the
