Eastern end of the Custom House street, and
thence along the seaward side of Custom House
street to the commencing point.
No. 2 Company
To comprise all those liable to serve as
Militiamen whose places of abode for the time
being are-
Within a line commencing at the centre
point of Queen street at its seaward termina-
tion, thence running along the centre of Queen
street to its junction with Victoria street,
thence westward along the centres of Victoria
street and of Victoria street west respectively,
to the Sea, and thence along high-water mark
to the commencing point.
No. 3 Company
To comprise all those liable to serve as
Militiamen whose places of abode for the time
being are-
Within a line commencing at the centre
point of Hobson street at its junction with
Victoria street, thence Southward along the
centres of Hobson street and Pitt street res-
pectively, to the junction of Pitt street with
the Karangahape road, thence westward along
the Karangahape road to its junction with the
Ponsonby and Newton roads, thence Southeast
along the Newtown road to its junction with
the Mount Eden road, thence along the south
and east sides of the property of the Honbl.
J. A. Gilfillan to the Kyber Pass road, thence
along the Kyber Pass road to its junction with
the Grafton road, thence along the Grafton
road to the northern boundary of suburban
section No. 3, thence along the northern
boundaries of suburban sections Nos. 3 and 16
to Symonds street, thence north westerly
along the boundary of the Military Reserve to
the junction of Victoria street with Victoria
Quadrant, thence westward along the centre of
Victoria street to the commencing point.
No. 4 Company
To comprise all those liable to serve as
Militiamen whose places of abode for the time
being are-
Within a line commencing at the centre
point of Stanley street at its seaward termina-
tion, thence along the centre of Stanley street
to the entrance to the Government Domain,
thence along the centre of the road leading to
the Grafton road, thence southward along the
centre of the Grafton road to its junction with
the Kyber Pass road, thence westward along
the centre of the Kyber Pass road to the
easteru boundary of the property of the Hon.
J. A. Gilfillan, thence along the eastern and
southern boundaries of that property to the
Mount Eden road, thence along the centre of
that road to its junction with the Scoria Quarry
road, thence along the centre of that road to.
the Kyber Pass road, thence eastward along
the centre of that road to its junction with the
Epsom road, thence southward along the centre
of that road to its junction with the Tamaki
road, thence south eastward along the centre
of that road to the Remuera stream, thence
northward along that stream to the sea, and
thence southward and westward along high
water mark to the commencing point.
No. 5 Company
To comprise all those liable to serve as
Militiamen whose places of abode for the time
being are-
Within a line commencing at the centre
point of Hobson street at its junction with
Victoria street, thence southward along the

the Karangahape road, thence south-westward
along the centre of that road to its junction

that road to its junction with the Cabbage Tree
Swamp road, thence westward along the centre
of that road until it rejoins the Karangahape
road, thence westward along the centre of
that road till it crosses the Scoria Creek at.
Low and Motion's. Mill, thence northward
along that creek to the sea, thence northward
and eastward along high water mark to the
seaward termination of Victoria street west,
and thence along the centres of Victoria street
west and of Victoria street respectively to the
commencing point.

in me vested, I, Thomas Gore Browne;
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby appoint and declare that the 2nd, or
Onehunga Battalion, shall be formed into five
Companies, as follows, viz.:-

To comprise all those liable to serve as

roads in front of Kelly's public house, thence
S. following the road along the Eastern side of
Captain Symond's property and on in a straight
line to high water mark on the Manukau,
thence Eastward along high water mark to the
bridge (St. Anne's Bridge) on the Great
South road, thence along that road N.W. to
Lundon's public house, thence along the road
