Description of the Boundaries of the Hun-
dred of "Waihola":-
On the North and East by the Waihola
Lake and Taieri River, on the North-west by
the Road-line running direct from the Waihola
Lake, through the Tokomairiro District to the
Tokomairiro River, and on the South and East
by the Tokamairiro River and the Ocean.
Description of the Boundaries of the Hun-
dred of "South Tokomairiro":
On the North-east by the Tokomairiro Ri-
ver to the Road-line between Blocks 32 and
and 41 Tokomairiro District. On the North-
west by said Road-line and a right line through
and dividing in half Blocks 32 and 38
of said District, thence along the Road-line
between Blocks 4 and 5 North Tuakitoto
District to its junction with the Road-line be-
tween Blocks 2 and 5 of said District, thence
in a North-West direction by the said Road-
line to a line being the North-west boundary
of Block 8 of said District and thence by
said line and a continuation of it to the Clutha
River, South-west by the Clutha River (Ma-
tou branch) to the Ocean, and on the South-
east by the Ocean.
Description of the Boundaries of the Hun-
dred of "North Tokomairiro":-
On the North-east by the Hundred of West
Taieri, North-west by a continuation of the
North-west Boundary of No. 3 to the Clutha
River, South-west by the Clutha River,
South-East by the Hundreds of Waihola and
South Tokomairiro.
Description of the Boundaries of the Hun-
dred of "East Clutha" :-
On the North-East by the Clutha River
(Matou branch). West by the Road-line form-
ing the Westera Boundary of Blocks 43 to
38 Clutha District and a continuation of
said line, South-west by a right line from To-
kata Point (The Nuggets) to the South-west
corner of Section. No. 15, Block 7, South
Clutha District, thence in a right line in a
North-westerly direction (nearly) to join the
West Boundary, East by the Ocean.
Description of the boundaries of the Hun-
dred of "West Clutha": -
On the North-east by the Clutha River, on
the East by the Hundred of East Clutha, on
the South-west by a continuation of the right
line forming the South-western Boundary of
the Hundred of East Clutha, and on the West
by the Western Boundary of Blocks 97 to
100, extended or produced Northward to the
Clutha River, and Southward to the South-
western Boundary.

IN conformity with the directions of His
Excellency the Governor, it is hereby
notified for general information, that a Writ
for the Election of a Member of the House of
Representatives for the undermentioned Dis-
trict in the Islands of New Zealand having
been issued, in accordance with the provi-
sions of an Act to grant a Representative
Constitution to the Colony of New Zealand,
the Returning Officer for the said District, has
returned the said Writ with a certificate to the
effect that the undermentioned gentleman has
been duly elected to serve as a Member of
the said House of Representatives for the
said district:-

WHEREAS, by the Royal Instructions
bearing date the 9th day of February,
1855, certain persons therein expressly de-
signated are nominated and appointed to be
Members of the Executive Council, and sucl
other persons as the Governor may deem to be
qualified and capable to advise him, subject
to the proviso that any appointment to be
made by the Governor shall be provisional
only, and subject to be confirmed or disallowed
by Her Majesty. Now Notice is hereby
given, that pursuant to the authority vested in
him by such instructions as aforesaid, His Ex-
cellency the Governor has been pleased to ap-
point

to be a Member of the Executive Council of
New Zealand.
