HIS Excellency the Officer administering
the Government has been pleased di-
rect and appoint that at the forthcoming elec-
tion of Superintendent for the Province of
Auckland, there shall be additional Polling
Places in the undermentioned districts,
viz:

PENSIONERS SETTLEMENTS.

PANMURE,
At such convenient place at Panmure as shall
be specified by the Returning Officer.

OTAHUHU,
At such convenient place at Otahuhu as shall
be specified by the Returning Officer.

HOWICK,
At the Police Office, Howick.

SOUTHERN DIVISION.

WAIHEKI.
At such convenient place at Waiheki as shall
be specified by the Returning Officer.

COROMANDEL HARBOUR,
At Moore's Station.

PAPAKURA,
At Cole's Inn.

RANGIAWHIA,
At the Resident Magistrate's Station.

KAWHIA,
At the Custom's Station.

NORTHERN DIVISION,

NORTH SHORE,
At such convenient place at the North Shore
as shall be specified by the Returning Offi-
cer.

MAXWELL'S STATION. THE WADE.
At Maurice Kelly's Station.

HENDERSON'S MILL.- LITTLE MUDDY CREEK.
At such convenient place at Little Muddy
Creek as shall be specified by the Returning
Officer.

KAIPARA,
At the Resident Magistrate's Station.

WAITEMATA, ARERIMU, KAIPARA,
At Blake's House, Kaipara Landing Place, at
the head of the Waitemata River.

TITIRANGI, MUDDY CREEK, MANUKAU, HEN-
DERSON'S MILL,
At Henry's Station, Titirangi.

MAHURANGI,
At such convenient place at the Government
Township of Mahurangi as shall be specified
by the Returning Officer.

WANGAREI,
At such convenient place at Wangarei as shall
be specified by the Returning Officer.

BAY OF ISLANDS.

WAIMATE,
At Mr. George Clarke's Station in the Vil-
lage.
HOKIANGA,
At the Customs Station.

WANGAROA,
At such convenient place at Wangaroa as shall
be specified by the Returning Officer.

MONGONUI,

At such convenient place at Wangarei as shall
be specified by the Returning Officer.

Province of Auckland
to wit.
}

WHEREAS a Writ, under the hand of
Robert Henry Wynyard, Esquire,
Companion of the most honourable Order of
the Bath, the Officer administering the Go-
vernment, and Commander-in-Chief in and
over the Islands of New Zealand, etc., etc.,
bearing date the twenty-fifth day of Jan-
uary, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-
five, hath been directed to me, Thomas
Beckham, Esquire, Resident Magistrate, as
Returning Officer for the "City of Auck-
land," the "Suburbs of Auckland," and the
"Northern Division," requiring and com-
manding me to cause to be elected by and
from amongst the Electors duly qualified
for that purpose, freely and indifferently,
and in manner and form by law prescribed,
one person to serve as Superintendent for
the Province of Auckland, in place of
"Robert Henry Wynyard, Esq., resigned."

Now, therefore, I, the said Thomas Beck-
ham, Esquire, Resident Magistrate, Return-
ing Officer for the "City of Auckland," the
"Suburbs of Auckland," and the "North-
ern Division," do hereby, in pursuance of
the said recited Writ, give notice that a
Public Meeting of the Electors of the "City
of Auckland," the "Suburbs of Auckland,"
and the "Northern Division," will be holden
at the Supreme Court House, Queen-street,
Auckland, on the twelfth day of February
next, at noon, for the purpose of nomina-
ting one person to serve as Superintendent
for the Province of Auckland, and in the
event of a poll being demanded for the
candidates, or any of them, such polling
shall take place on the twenty-first day of
February next, at such Supreme Court
House aforesaid, the voting to commence at
any time after nine o'clock of the said day,
and to close at four o'clock in the afternoon
of the same day.
