PROCLAMATION.
By His Excellency Colonel ROBERT
HENRY WYNYARD, Companion
of the most Honourable Order
of the Bath, Officer Admin-
istering the Government and
Commander-in-Chief in and
over the Islands of New Zea-
land, &c., &c.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General
"The Public Reserves Act 1854," it is
amongst other things enacted that whenever
Sany land shall have been set apan by the Go-
vernor New Zealand as a Public Reserve,
and shall by Proclamation to be published in
the New Zealand Government Gazette have
been declared to have been so set apart as a
Reserve made for the General Government,
such land shall not thereafter be alienated by
way of sale, mortgage, lease, or otherwise.
Now, I, the Officer administering the Govern-
vernt of New Zealand do hereby proclaim and
declare that the allotment or parcel of land
hereinafter particularly described hath been
set apart by me as a Reserve for the General
Government as and for the site of a public
Post Office, viz., part of allotmeut number one
of section number seven of the City of Auck-
land, in the parish of Waitemata, in the
county of Eden, bounded on the north by
Emily place one hundred and thirty-two feet,
on the east by allotment number sixteen of
same section ninety-four feet four inches, on
the south by allotment number two of same
section seventy-nine feet three inches, on the
west by part of allotment number one of same
section, occupied by the Colonial Secretary
and Colonial Treasurer's offices seventy-two
feet, again on the south by part of allotment
number one of samΓ© section fifty-two feet nine
inches, and again on the west by Princes
street twenty-three feet nine inches.
Given under my hand and issued
under the public Seal of the
Islands of New Zealand, at
Auckland, in the Islands afore-
said this 2nd day of February
in the year of our Lord, one
thousand eight hundred and fifty-
five.

NOTICE.
Colonial Secretary's Office,
Auckland, 3rd February, 1855.
IN TN compliance with a Resolution of the
Provincial Council of Auckland, His Ex-
cellency the Officer administering the Govern-
ment has been pleased to direct, that at the
ensuing Election for the Superintendency, and
and at any future election for that office or for
seats in the Provincial Council, every Elector
of the Province shall be allowed to record his
vote at the Polling Booth nearest to his resi
dence.
