at this Office, on or before Friday next,
the 26th instant, from parties who may be
desirous of supplying the following Articles
for the use of the Prisoners in the Auckland
Gaol.

from parties willing to Contract for Build-
ing a Shed for Coals, on the opposite shore,
at the foot of Mount Victoria.
Plans and specifications may be seen at the
Surveyor-General's Office.
Tenders to be in duplicate, sealed and en-
dorsed "Tenders for building a Coal Shed."

I, appointed for examining and reporting
on all Claims to Compensation preferred ac-
cording to the provisions of an Ordinance,
Session 7, No. 22, intituled "An Ordinance
to authorize Compensation in Colonial De-
bentures to be made to certain Claimants to
Land in the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby notify that I will investigate the un-
dermentioned Claims at the Council Chamber,
on Monday, the 6th day of December, 1847,
at ten o'clock in the forenoon.
The Cases will be heard in the order in
which they stand in the following List, and
all parties interested are hereby summoned to
be in attendance with their documents and
witnesses.

Case No. 40. Pre-emption Certificate No. 114.
-JOHN GALTON HILL, settler, Auckland.
300 acres, Three hundred acres, adjoining
the Manukau water; bounded on the north-
west by native land, and land in the possession
of Charles Ring; north-east by a swamp or
marsh land, said to be purchased by Patrick
Donovan; and on the south-east by land of
the native chief E Kati. The names of said
lands are Rangiowia, Puke, Korora, Opuha,
Te Taheri, Ohaitou, Powerua, and One Poto.
No. 175.-100 acres, One hundred acres,
situated at Manukau, being 100 acres addi-
tional within the former boundaries, stated in
Certificate No. 114.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chiefs Kawau, Keene, and Te Hira.
Consideration-five pounds cash, and a
cutter boat or vessel, with one mast, valued
at twenty pounds.
Case No. 41. Pre-emption Certificate No. 235
-JOHN OAKES, of Auckland, boatman.
950 acres, Nine hundred and fifty acres,
situated on the Thames; bounded on one
side by a place named Te Karihi; on another
by a sandy bay named Taipake; and on
another by land belonging to the chief Potiki.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chiefs Potiki, Te Korokoro, and
Pungateki.
