pleased to appoint His Honor
Major MATTHEW RICHMOND,
the Superintendent of the Southern Division,
to be a Resident Magistrate.

H IS Excellency the Governor has been
perintendent of the Southern Division, Major
MATTHEW RICHMOND, to proceed to Nelson,
and has also given him instructions to limit
his jurisdiction to the District of Nelson, on
the Southern Shores of Cook's Straits.

T ENDERS will be received at this Office,
until Monday, the 29th instant, from
such Parties as are willing to Contract for the
Burial of Paupers, (including the furnishing
of coffins, and the necessary assistance for
ensuring proper interment), for the six
months, commencing from the 1st December,
next.
Tenders to be sealed, and in Duplicate,
and endorsed "Tenders for Burial of
Paupers."

until Monday the 29th instant, from such
parties as are willing to contract for the supply
of the whole or part of the following articles,
required for furnishing a portion of the Civil
Hospital.
Tenders to be sealed and in Duplicate, and
endorsed "Tenders for Supply of Articles for
Hospital."
