Case No. 21. Pre-emption certificate, No. 117.
Thomas Power, of Auckland, settler.
60 acres, Sixty acres, situated between
Epsom and the Manukau river, bounded on
one side by a government line, on another,
by land belonging to the native chief Kati.
on another by land purchased by Mr. Beve-
ridge, on another side by land purchased by
Europeans.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chiefs Te Kawau, Te Keene, and
Te Hira.
Consideration-

Case No. 22. Pre-emption certificate, No. 136.
HASTINGS ATKINS, of Hokianga, settler.
-900-acres, Nine hundred and eighty acres,
situated on the near side of the Manukau,
the boundary on the one side of Onehunga,
is the Powrewa, it goes to the Puke Karora,
to Onepoto to Waikoui to the Tanarou, to
Mutenghi-rahi, to the Unahi, to the Tuhi
Karapara to Owai Kahu, which is boundary
on the side of Karangahapi.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chiefs Te Kawau, Te Hira, Te
Keene, and E Nihi.
Consideration, Ninety two pounds, seven
shillings, and six-pence, in goods and
cash.

Case No. 23. Pre-emption Certificate No.138.
-HENRY R. CRETNAY, of Auckland, store-
keeper.
*250 acres. Two hundred and fifty acres, sit-
uated between the road leading to the Tamaki
and One Tree Hill, and extending towards the
lake below Mr. Kempthorne's.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chiefs Te Hoterene, and Te Hake.
Consideration, about fifty pounds in money,
and thirty pounds in goods, consisting of
blankets, prints, trowsers, &c.

Case No. 24.. Pre-emption Certificate No. 83.
-EDWARD FOLEY, of Auckland, butcher.
500 acres, Five hundred acres, situated on
the Awaroa river, bounded on the front or
west by the Awaroa creek, and extending
about half a mile along the same ; on the north
by land claimed by Mr. Hamlin on behalf of
Mr. Stack, and extending back about a mile
and a half; on the east, by other land of
Katipa; and on the south, by a small creek
called Waikowiere Keitioni.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chief Katipa.
Consideration, one hundred and fifty pounds.

Case No/9 eption certificate, No. 67.
J. H. WATT, of Auckland, watch-maker.
400 acres. Four hundred acres, situated to
the east or north-east of One Tree Hill, and
east of the blocks lately bought by T. Henry,
by which it is bounded on the west, and on
the north and south is bounded to a certain
extent by other blocks sold to Europeans.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chief Wanganui alias Tauteri.

Consideration-One silver watch, one gold
ring, one rifle gun, 1 box, one waistcoat,
one pair trowsers, one pair boots, two
silk-liandkerchiefs, one sheet, two gowns,
two cartouch boxes. Amounting in value,
to £17 5s. sterling.

Case 26. Pre-emption certificate, No. 63.-
PATRICK DONOVAN, of Epsom, settler.
111 acres 1 rood 10 perches. One hundred
and eleven acres, one rood, and ten perches,
situated near the Three Kings, and known by
the native name of Panates bounded on the
north by crown land, on the east by land
purchased from the natives by Daniel Dono-
hoe, and J. O. Keefe, on the west by land
purchased by Mr. Donovan, over which the
pre-emption has been waived, and on the
south by land the property of the natives.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chiefs Te Kawau, Te Keene, Te
Hira, and others.

Case No. 27. Pre-emption certificate No.142.
-PATRICK DONOVAN, of Epsom, settler.
150 acres, One hundred and fifty acres,
situated near Mount Smart, on the Manukau
rives, Waikaraka by name, bounded on two
sides by land belonging to the chiefs Te
Kawau and Te Keene, on another side by Mr.
Jackson, and on the other by the river Manukau.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chiefs Te Kawau, Te Keene, Te
Hira, and others.
Consideration-£30.

Case 28. Pre-emption certificate, No. 143.-
PATRICK DONOVAN, of Epsom, settler.
400 acres. Four hundred acres, situated
between the Three Kings and Manakau,
bounded on one side by land belonging to
Messrs. Donovan and Donoughue, on ano-
ther side by land belonging to Mr. Hart, on
another side, by Mr. Ring, and native land,
and on the other side by Messrs. Kennedy
and Ring.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chiefs Te Kawau, Te Keene, Te
Hira, and others.
Consideration-£20.

Case No. 29. Pre-emption certificate, No. 106
-PATRICK LUNDUN, of Auckland, settler.
100 acres. One hundred acres, situated
near One Tree Hill, bounded on the north by
native lands belonging to Kawau and his tribe,
on the south by land sold to Daniel Lorrigan,
on the west by land sold to Thomas Henry,
and on the east by native land belonging to
Kawau and his tribe.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chiefs Kawau, Keene, and Pumipi.
Consideration-£10.

Case No. 30. Pre-emption certificate, No. 162
-PATRICK LUNDUN, of Auckland, settler.
-28 acres. Twenty three acres, situated near
One Tree Hill, being in addition to the 100
acres contained in the boundaries stated in
certificate No. 106.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chiefs Kawau, Keene, and Pumipi.
Consideration,-the same as in Case No. 29.
