Auckland, 19th June, 1847.

HENRY MATSON, a Commissioner
appointed for examining and reporting
on all Claims to Compensation preferred ac-
cording to the provisions of an Ordinance,
Session 7, No. 22, intituled "An Ordinance
to authorize Compensation in Colonial De-
bentures to be made to certain Claimants to
Land in the Colony of New Zealand," do
hereby notify that I will investigate the un-
dermendoned Claims at the Council Chamber,
on Monday, the 5th day of July, 1847, at ten
o'clock in the forenoon.

The Cases will be heard in the order in
which they stand in the following List, and
all parties interested are hereby summoned to
be in attendance with their documents and
witnesses.

Case No. 17. Pre-emption Certificate No. 109.
—WILLIAM HART, of Epsom, settler.
86 acres, Eighty-six acres, situated at Ep-
som; bounded on the north by the land of Mr.
George Hart; on the south by the land of
Mr. Henry; on the west by the Epsom road;
and on the east by native land.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chief Wetere.
Consideration—£50.

Case No. 18. Pre-emption Certificate No. 110.
—WILLIAM HART, of Epsom, settler.
400 acres, Four hundred acres, situated at

Epsom; bounded on the north by the land of
Mr. Henry; on the south by the land of Mr.
Jackson; on the west by the present Epsom
road; and on the east by the land of Mr.
Henry.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chief William Hobson.
Consideration—one horse, one pair trow-
sers, two pair shoes.

CASE No. 19. Pre-emption certificate, No.
111.—WILLIAM HART, of Epsom, settler.
400 acres. Four hundred acres, situated at
Epsom, behind that purchased by Mr. Beve-
ridge, extending in a direction towards the
Three Kings, and adjoining the land of the
native chief Kawau.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chief E Kati.
Consideration, sixty pounds in cash, two
coats, two waistcoats, two pair trowsers,
two pair shoes, four shirts.

Case No. 20. Pre emption certificate, No.
113.—THOMAS HENRY, of Auckland,
store-keeper.
800 acres. Eight hundred acres, situated
on the south side of One Tree Hill, called
Waikaraku, bounded on the north by native
land, on the east by Mr. Lorrigan's property,
and native land, on the south by the waters
of the Manukau, and on the west by Mr.
Jackson's property, and native land.
Alleged to have been purchased from the
native chiefs Te Kawau, Te Hira, To
Keene, and others.
Consideration—£300.
