The Colonial Secretary moved the order of
the day for the further consideration in Com-
mittee of the Land Claims' Bill.
Bill committed, amended, and further con-
sideration thereof postponed until Thursday,
12th November.

The Attorney General moved the order of
the day for the further consideration in Com-
mittee of the Arms' Bill.
Bill committed, amended, reported, and or-
dered to be read a third time on Thursday,
the 12th November, 1846.

Mr. Donnelly moved the order of the day
for the second reading of the Sessions of the
Peace Bill.
Bill read a second time, committed, amended,
and further consideration postponed until 12th
November.

The Governor laid on the Table the follow-
ing Bills, viz.:

  1. "An Ordinance to make provision for
    the safe custody of, and prevention of
    offences by persons dangerously Insane,
    and for the care and maintenance of per-
    sons of Unsound Mind."
  2. "A Bill to provide for the prevention-
    by Summary Proceeding of Unauthorized
    Purchases of Land."
    Ordered that said Bills be printed.
    Council adjourned at 4 o'clock, until 2
    o'clock on Thursday, 12th November, 1846.

Bill committed, amended, and further con-
sideration thereof postponed until Saturday
the 14th November, 1846.

Mr. Donnelly moved the order of the day
for the further consideration in Committee of
the Sessions of the Peace Bill.
Bill committed, amended, reported, and
ordered to be read a third time on Saturday:
the 14th November.

The Attorney General moved the order of
the day for the first reading of the Native.
Land Purchase Bill.
Bill read first time, and ordered to be
read a second time on Saturday the 14th Nov.

The Colonial Secretary gave notice, that he
should move the first reading of the Lunatics'
Bill on 14th instant.

Council adjourned a half-past 3 o'clock,
until 2 o'clock on Saturday the 14th Novem-
ber, 1846.

THURSDAY, 12TH NOVEMBER, 1846.
PRESENT:
All the Members.
The Council met pursuant to adjournment.
The minutes of the last Manting more read
and confirmed.

The Colonial Secretary moved the order of
the day for the further consideration in Com-
mittee of the Land Claims Bill
Bill committed, amended, and further con-
sideration thereof adjourned until Friday, 13th
November.

The Attorney General moved the order of
the day for the third reading of the Arms' Bill.
Bill read a third time and passed.

Mr. Donnelly moved the order of the day
for the further consideration in Committee of
the Sessions of the Peace Bill.
Bill considered, amended, and further.con-
sideration thereof postponed until Friday the
13th November, 1846.

The Attorney General gave notice that he
should move the first reading of the Native
Land Purchase Bill, on Friday 13th Novem-
ber, 1846.

Council adjourned at 4 o'clock, until 2
o'clook on Friday the 13th November, 1846.

SATURDAY, 14TH NOVEMBER, 1846.
PRESENT:
All the Members.
The Council met pursuant to adjournment.
The minutes of the last Meeting were read
and confirmed.

The Attorney General moved the order of
the day for the second reading of the Native
Land Purchase Bill.
Bill read a second time accordingly.

On motion of the Attorney General, Bill
committed, amended, reported, and ordered
to be read a third time on Monday, 16th
November.

On motion of Mr. Donnelly, it was onderad,
that the third reading of the Sessions of the
Peace Bill be postponed until Monday, 16th
November.

The Colonial Secretary moved the order of
the day for the first reading of the Lunatics'
Bill.
Bill read a first time, and ordered to be read
a second time on Monday, 16th November.

The Colonial Secretary moved, that the
further consideration in Committee of the
Land Claims Bill be postponed until Monday,
16th November.

Council adjourned at half-past 4 o'clock,
until 2 o'clock on Monday, 16th November.

The Council met pursuant to adjournment.
The minutes of the last Meeting were read
and confirmed.

On motion of Mr. Donnelly, the third,
reading of the Sessions of the Peace Ordi-
nance postponed until Tuesday, 17th Nov.

On motion of the Attorney General, the
Native Land Purchase Bill read a third time
and passed.

The Colonial Secretary. moved the order
of the day for the second reading of the
Lunatics Bill. Bill read a second timre
accordingly.
