nated the Town of Wellington.

pleased to direct that the Gaol at Welling-
ton shall be considered as the Common Gaol of
the Town and District, and be under the charge
of the Sheriff.

NOTICE.
PORT OF PORT NICHOLSON.
NOTICE is Hereby Given, that a Warehouse
situated at Te Aro, the property of
Messrs. Waitt and Tyser, has been approved for
the reception of spirits, wine, and other goods
under bond, in accordance with the Ordinance of
the Governor and Council of New Zealand, No.
3 of 1841.

An apartment adjoining the bonding warehouse
has been rented from Messrs. Waitt and Tyser,
as a temporary Custom House.

Those Merchants, Publicans, and others, who
have failed to make declaration as to the quantity
of spirits in their possession, are required imme-
diately to make the necessary declaration before
the Sub-Collector.

Holders of spirits are reminded that all spirits
which may be removed, unless to the bonding
warehouse, or in virtue of a permit, are liable to
forfeiture.
