direction for a distance of about twenty chains across
Section 158, and thence along the bank of an arm of
the Motueka river for a distance of about fifty
chains, to the western boundary of said section.

And to substitute in place thereof a certain other road, seventy-
five links in width, colored green on the plan attached to this
notification, and described as follows, viz.:—

That portion of a road commencing at the public road,
about four chains north of the southern boundary of
Section No. 131, Square 9, and running in a north-
westerly direction for about seven and a half chains,
to the bank of the Motueka River.

No. 5.—To stop up a road in the Motueka Sub-district,
colored red on the plan attached to this notification, and
described as follows, viz.:—

That portion of a road commencing at the ascent of the
hill known as Wilkie's Spur, being on Section 36,
Square 3, and running in a south-westerly direction
to the top of the low range of hills, thence along the
top of said range, thence in the same direction to a
point marked A on plan, being on Section 1 of 53,

And to substitute in place thereof the road now in use, 100
links in width, colored green on the plan attached to
this notification, commencing at the point where it is
proposed to stop up the above-mentioned road,
thence across said public road, thence across Section
1 of 38, and across the corners of Section 2 of 38, and
1 of Block 1, thence across Section 105, thence
running through Crown land to a point marked B,
being near the southern corner of Section 1 of 53.

No. 6.—To stop up a road in the Ngatimoti Sub-district,
colored red on the plan attached to this notification, and
described as follows, viz.:—

That portion of a road commencing at a point about six
chains north-west of the south-west corner of Section
14, Square 3, running for a distance of about sixteen
chains in a south-westerly direction.

And to substitute in place thereof a road (now in use) 100
links in width, colored green on the plan attached to this
notification, and described as follows, viz.:—

That portion of a road commencing at the point above-
mentioned, being about six chains north-west of the
south-east corner of Section 14, and running in a
south-westerly direction for a distance of about 15
chains.

No. 7.—To stop up a road in the Ngatimoti Sub-district,
colored red on the plan attached to this notification, and
described as follows, viz.:—

That portion of a road commencing at a point about 19
chains in a south-westerly direction from the road
leading into the Orinoco Valley, opposite the Ngati-
moti School, and running for about 13 chains in nearly
westerly direction, thence for about 3 chains in nearly
a southerly direction to a point about 2 chains south-
east of the north-west corner of Section No. 26,
Square 3,

And to substitute in place thereof a certain other road 100
links in width, colored green on the plan attached to
this notification, and described as follows, viz.:—

That portion of a road (now in use) commencing at the
point above mentioned, being about 19 chains in a
south-westerly direction from the road leading into
the Orinoco Valley, and running in a south-westerly
direction for a distance of about 8 chains, and thence
in a westerly direction for a distance of about 9 chains
to a point about 2 chains south-east of the north-
west corner of Section No. 26, Square 3.

colored red on the plan attached to this notification, and
described as follows, viz.:—

That portion of a road on the bank of the Motueka River,

Square 7, and running about 7 chains in an easterly
direction,

And to substitute in place thereof a certain other road,
colored green on the plan attached to this notification, and
described as follows, viz.:—

That portion of a road (now in use) commencing at a point
about 7 chains north-east of the corner of Section 16,
and running in a southerly direction for a distance of
about 7 chains, and there joining the road on the
bank of the Motueka River.

No. 8.—To stop up a road in the Pangatotara Sub-district,
colored red on the plan attached to this notification, and
described as follows, viz.:—

That portion of a road on Section 250, Square 3, formerly
used for crossing the Wakarewa stream and being
about 7 chains in length,
