  1. A block of land containing nine acres two roods and eighteen perches, more or less, situated at Murray Creek, applied for by Hugh Brennan and others, Inglewood Company.

  2. A block of land containing eight acres three roods and twenty-six perches, more or less, situated at Murray Creek, applied for by Michael Dunn and others, Golden Star Company.

  3. A block of land containing thirteen acres one rood and twenty-three perches, more or less, situated at Murray Creek, applied for by The Phœnix Quartzmining Company, Registered.

  4. A block of land containing fourteen acres one rood and three perches, more or less, situated at Murray Creek, applied for by Angus Sutherland and others, Albion Company.

  5. A block of land containing fourteen acres one rood and four perches, more or less, situated at Murray Creek, applied for by H. G. Hankin and others, Edith Company.

IT is hereby notified that the Superintendent has Refused to grant the Goldmining Leases, applied for at the Inangahua District, hereinafter referred to, viz.:—

  1. A block of land containing seven acres and twelve perches, more or less, situated at Ruiny Creek, applied for by Edward Gittoes, Atlas Company.

  2. A block of land containing eleven acres three roods and twenty-four perches, more or less, situated at Rainy Creek, applied for by John M'Lean, Belfast Company.

  3. A block of land containing twelve acres three roods and ten perches, more or less, situated at Murray Creek, applied for by C. Mirfin, Australian Company.

  4. A block of land containing sixteen acres and two roods, more or less, situated at Murray Creek, applied for by John Dixon and others, City of Nelson Company.

  5. A block of land containing four acres and two roods, more or less, situated at Murray Creek, applied for by G. W. Moss, Dissolved Company.

  6. A block of land containing ten acres two roods and twenty-five perches, more or less, situated at Murray Creek, applied for by William Lynch and others, Brighton Company.

Lease No. 1 B, dated January 1, 1870, Joseph Paul, manager, Pioneer Quartz Company. Fifteen acres, two roods, thirty-six perches.

Lease No. 24 B, dated October 1, 1870, John Gallagher and others. Ten acres.

Lease No. 29 B, dated January 2, 1871, Patrick McLary and others. Ten acres.

Lease No. 71 C, dated January 2, 1871, Hugh Boyle and others. Three acres, three roods, and twelve perches.

Lease No. 74 C, dated January 2, 1871, J. E. Gillespie and others. Two acres, three roods, and nine perches.

Lease No. 80 C, dated April 1, 1871, Robert Larkin and another. Four acres.

Lease No. 91 C, dated July 1, 1871, Thomas Birrell and others. Six acres, three roods, and five perches.
