PROCLAMATION.
By his Honor OSWALD CURTIS, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of
Nelson, in the Islands of New Zea-
land, &c., &c., &c.
WHEREAS, by "The Marine Act,
1867," it is provided that for the
prevention of doubts and disputes as to the
limits of any Wharf, Pier, or Dock, it shall be
lawful for the Superintendent of any Pro-
vince, from time to time as occasion may
require, by Proclamation for that purpose,
published in the Gazette of the Province, to
define the limits and boundaries for the pur-
poses of the said Act, of any Wharf, Quay,
Pier, or Dock, within such Province:
Now, therefore, I, OSWALD CURTIS, Super-
intendent of the Province of Nelson, afore-
said, do hereby proclaim and declare the
Government Wharf, at Motueka, situate on
Section numbered 100, on Square 3, to be a
Public Wharf, or Landing Place, and do
proclaim, declare, and define the limits and
boundaries thereof to be as follows, that is
to say :-On the Northward by a line run-
ning Eastward from the Public Road between
Sections 100 and 143, on Square 3, to low-
water mark, starting from a point fifty yards
to the Northward of the said Wharf; on
the Eastward by low water mark; on the
Southward by a line running Eastward from
the said Public Road to low water mark,
starting from a point fifty yards to the
Southward of the said Wharf, and on the
Westward by the aforesaid Public Road.
Given under my hand, and issued under
the Public Seal of the Province of
Nelson, this Twenty-fourth day of
August, in the year of our Lord One
thousand eight hundred and sixty-
eight.
