PROCLAMATION.

By his Honor OSWALD CURTIS, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of
Nelson, in the Islands of New Zea-
land, &c., &c., &c.

WHEREAS by of "The Nelson Scab
Act, 1865," it is provided that
it shall be lawful for the Superinten-
dent, by proclamation in the Government
Gazette of the Province, to fix and declare
the boundaries of the District of Amuri, and
of any other District or Districts, for the pur-
poses of the said Act, and such boundaries
from time to time in like manner to alter
and amend as occasion may require:

Now, therefore, I, OSWALD CURTIS,
Superintendent of the said Province,
hereby proclaim, fix, and declare that, on and
after this date, all the land comprised within
the following boundaries shall be the
District of Amuri for the purposes of "The
Nelson Scab Act, 1868 :β€”

The Hurunui river, from its mouth to
Lake Sumner; from Lake Sumner to the
Saddle between the Hurunui and the Tere-
macau; thence in a straight line to Mount
Princess; thence in a straight line to Lake
Tennyson; thence following the River
Clarence to its junction with the Acheron;
thence by the boundary of the Marlborough
Province to the mouth of the Conway; and
from the mouth of the Conway by the sea
coast to the mouth of the Hurunui.

Given under my hand, and issued under
the Public Seal of the Province of
Nelson, this Twenty-sixth day of June,
in the year of our Lord One thousand
eight hundred and sixty-eight.

IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF WEST-
LAND NORTH.

In the matter of "The Bankruptcy Act,
1867."

NOTICE is hereby given, that JOHN
SYKES, of the Four-Mile Terrace,
near Charleston, in the Province of Nelson,
in the Colony of New Zealand, Storekeeper,
has, this day, filed, in this Court, a declara-
tion of his insolvency.

Dated this 20th day of June, 1868.

IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF
WESTLAND NORTH, IN ITS BANK-
RUPTCY JURISDICTION.

In the matter of "The Bankruptcy Act,
1867," and in the matter of THOMAS
WILLIAM MELVILLE.

NOTICE is hereby given, that the above-
named THOMAS WILLIAM MELVILLE
was, this day adjudicated Bankrupt: And
further that the order of adjudication
appoints a first meeting of Creditors of the
said Bankrupt, and prescribes Friday, the
Third day of July next, at Two o'clock in
the afternoon, at the Court-House, West-
port, as the day, hour, and place for
holding the same meeting.

Dated this 23rd day of June, 1868.

IN THE DISTRICT COURT OF WEST-
LAND NORTH, HOLDEN AT WEST-
PORT, IN BANKRUPTCY.

In the matter of "The Bankruptcy Act
1867," and in the matter of HERMANN
BROWN and ISIDOR LISSNER, both of
Westport, in the Province of Nelson, in
the Colony of New Zealand, Drapers,
trading together in co-partnership, under
the style or firm of "BROWN and LISSNER,"
Bankrupts.

NOTICE is hereby given, that this Honor-
able Court did, this day, adjudge the
above-named HERMANN BROWN and ISIDOR
LISSNER Bankrupts, appoint a first meeting
of their Creditors to be held, and prescribe
Saturday, the Fourth day of July, now next
ensuing, at Eleven o'clock in the fore-
noon, at the office of FRANCIS HARRIS,
Esquire, Clerk of this Court, at the Court-
House, at Westport, above-mentioned, as the
day, hour, and place of the said meeting, and
at which time and place the said Bankrupts
are required to surrender.

Dated this 22nd day of June, 1868.
