IN the matter of "The Bankruptcy Act,
1867," and in the matter of WILLIAM
WALLACE, of the City of Nelson, in the
Province of Nelson, in New Zealand,
Watchmaker, a Bankrupt.
NOTICE is hereby given, that Friday,
the 17th July, 1868, at the hour of
Ten of the o'clock in the forenoon, at the
Court-House, Nelson, has been appointed
as the time and place for a Public Sitting
of the Court for the Bankrupt to pass his
last examination, and to make application
for his discharge.

ELSON, of the City of Nelson, in the
Province of Nelson, Chemist.
NOTICE is hereby given, that by a
Deed, bearing date the Twentieth
day of June, 1868, and made between the
said GEORGE ELSON of the first part, WIL-
LIAM ROUT, of the said City of Nelson,
Commission Agent, and GEORGE BONNING-
TON, of the same City, Chemist, of the second
part, and the several other persons whose
names are thereunto subscribed, being Credi-
tors of the said GEORGE ELSON, of the third
part, the said GEORGE ELSON conveyed
and assigned all and singular his real
and personal estate and effects unto
the said WILLIAM ROUT and GEORGE
BONNINGTON, their heirs, executors, adminis-
trators, and assigns, upon trust, for the
benefit of all the Creditors of the said
GEORGE ELSON: And Notice is hereby
further given, that the said Deed was duly
executed by the said GEORGE ELSON in the
presence of and is attested by ALBERT PITT,
of the said City of Nelson, a Solicitor of the
Supreme Court of New Zealand, and that
the said Deed is also duly executed by the
said Trustees, and by a majority in number
representing three-fourths in value of the
Creditors of the said GEORGE ELSON: And
Notice is hereby further given, that the said
Deed was duly filed in the Office of the
Supreme Court of New Zealand, at Nelson,
on Friday, the Twenty-sixth day of June,
1868.

hereby make application to Register
"The Southern Cross Gold Mining Com-
pany" (Registered), under the provisions
of "The Mining Companies Limited
Liability Act, 1865:" And I do solemnly
and sincerely declare that the following
statement is to the best of my belief and
knowledge true in every particular, namely:-
- The name and style of the Company
is "The Southern Cross Gold Min-
ing Company." - The place of operations is at the
Darkies' Terrace, Charleston. - The nominal Capital of the Company
is Three Thousand Six Hundred
Pounds, in One Hundred and Eighty
Shares of Twenty Pounds each. - The amount already paid up is Three
Thousand Six Hundred Pounds. - The name of the Manager is Henry
Evans. - The Office of the Company is at the
works, Darkies' Terrace, Charleston. - The names and several residences of
the Shareholders and the number of
shares held by each at this date, are
