THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified for general information that he has appointed
DANIEL TALBOT
to be Ranger under "The Protection of Animals Act, 1867," for the districts of Motueka, Riwaka, Pangatotara, Upper Moutere and Lower Moutere.

PROCLAMATION.
By his Honor OSWALD CURTIS, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, in the Islands of Now Zealand,
&c., &c., &c.
IN accordance with the Provisions of "The Marine Act, 1867," and in pursuance of the power and authority delegated to me by His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, I, OSWALD CURTIS, Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, hereby make the following Harbor Regulation for the Port of Buller, on the West Coast, and declare that the same shall come into operation and take effect from and after the date hereof:β
Regulation
No drift wood shall be removed, without the permission of the Harbor-Master, from any land of the Crown, within one mile from the mouth of the River Buller, and any person removing the same shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding Five Pounds.
Given under my hand and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Nelson, this Twenty-fifth day of June, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.
