ALTERATION OF ROADS.
THE undersigned hereby gives notice that he intends to apply to two or more Justices of the Peace having jurisdiction within the Province of Nelson, at a sitting to be held on SATURDAY, the 25th, March, 1865, at the Institution, Motueka, for an Order for stopping up, diverting and making the undermentioned Roads; and further, that he will cause survey plans of the several roads proposed to be stopped up, substituted, and made, together with the books of reference and estimates, to be deposited on or before the 10th day of February, 1865, at the Magistrate's Court, Motueka Institute, with Mr. John Boyce, constable for the District of Motueka; and with Mr. George Madge Taylor, Constable, for the District of Moutere:—
To stop up a certain road in Upper Moutere, lying between sections numbered respectively 94, 1 of 36, and 35, commencing at the S.E. corner of section 94, thence in a N.W. direction about 19 chains and there terminating.
Also, to make certain portions of new road in the same locality 60 links in width, and more particularly described as follows:—The portion of road in section numbered 2 of 181, to commence at the road dividing the said section numbered 95, and following the South-east boundary line of section 2 of 181, 9 chains thence under the hills in a North-westerly direction about 53 chains through sections numbered respectively 2 of 181, 1 of 36 and 34 and terminating where it joins the present main road.
And also to make a certain portion of road of the same width as above, commencing at the road dividing sections numbered respectively 94 and 95, thence about 3 chains in an Easterly direction to join the main road.
