PROPOSED ALTERATION OF ROAD IN UPPER MOTUEKA VALLEY DISTRICT.
VII.
To stop up parts of a road in the Upper Motueka District, being the road laid down on the plan of the district leading from section numbered 70, Upper Motueka, to section numbered 5, in the Tadmor Valley, and which is shown by blue color on the plan attached to this application, and is more particularly described as follows:—

The portion of the road which crosses section numbered 71, to the junction of the road to be substituted; about 20 chains.

The portion of the road in Tadmor Valley lying between sections numbered respectively 97 and 102, and section numbered 98, from the banks of the Motueka River to section numbered 5; about 65 chains.
And to substitute in the place thereof certain other portions of a road, one chain in width, and which is shown by pink color on the plan attached to this application, and is more particularly described as follows:—

The portion of road crossing section numbered 71, from the division line between sections numbered respectively 70 and 71, to the banks of the Motueka River at the division line between sections numbered respectively 71 and 72, about 45 chains, thence across section numbered 72 to end of road line on plan, forming northern boundary of said section, about 38 chains; thence across Motueka River, and through section numbered 98 to the eastern angle of section numbered 102, about 25 chains; and also, the portion of road crossing the said section 71, from the last described road at about 15 chains from its commencement, and terminating at the road laid down on plan crossing sections numbered respectively 71, and 72; about 11 chains; and

The portion of road leading up the Tadmor Valley through section numbered 98, commencing at the banks of the River Motueka, and terminating at the line of road on plan of section numbered 5; about 55 chains.

ESTIMATED EXPENSE.—The expense of this alteration will be met by the Government exchanging other land for that taken for the purpose of the road.
