THE following application for a Depasturing Lease has been received by me in accordance with "The Marlborough Waste Lands Act, 1867" :

James and Thomas Carter—District of Clarence. Boundaries—On the North by the summit of the Kaikoura mountains; on the North-east and East by W. Atkinson’s Run and unoccupied Crown Land; on the South-east by the boundary of the Province; and on the West and South by the North Clarence Runs Nos. 1 and 2, and part of Barefells Run. Estimated extent—5,900 acres. Deposit paid—£12.

THE following application for a Depasturing License has been received by me in accordance with "The Marlborough Waste Lands Act, 1867" :

Charles Cockburn Schaw—District of Queen Charlotte Sound, Arapawa Island—For a block of Crown Land bounded on the North by Crown Land; on the East by Crown Land; on the South by Cook’s Strait; and on the West by Tory Channel, and part of the East boundary of lot 17. Also—For a block bounded on the North by Otauarua Bay and lot 33; on the East by lot 36; on the South by Crown Land; and on the West by lot 31. Also—For a block bounded on the North by Otauarua Bay, and 16 chains in an Easterly direction to Cook’s Strait; on the East by Cook’s Strait, and Crown Land; on the South by Crown Land; and on the West by lot 37 and Otauarua Bay. Estimated extent—1,500 acres. Deposit paid, £5.

DECISIONS in favor of the undermentioned applicants for Depasturing Licenses and a Depasturing Lease have been given in accordance with "The Marlborough Waste Lands Act, 1867":

For Licenses:

Samuel Ridley Buckman—District of North Bank of Wairau. Estimated extent—800 acres, over so much of the land applied for as is not included in the Wairau Gold Field.

Charles Court and Vincent Carey Venimore—District of North Bank of Wairau. Estimated extent—1,300 acres.

Charles Ruck Keene, and George Ruck Keene—District of Kaikoura. Estimated extent—240 acres.

Henry George Bell—District of North Bank of Wairau. Estimated extent—480 acres, over so much of the Land applied for as is not included in the Wairau Gold Fields.

For a Lease:

William Adams—District of North Bank of Wairau. Estimated extent—1,000 acres, over so much of the land applied for as is not included in the Wairau Gold Field, and is not applied for by contractors under Clause 56 of "The Marlborough Waste Lands Act 1867."
