PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor William Henry Eyes,
Esquire, Superintendent of the
Province of Marlborough, in the
Colony of New Zealand, &c., &c.

WHEREAS by an Ordinance of the
Legislative Council of New Zealand,
intituled "An Ordinance to authorise and
regulate the Impounding of Cattle," the
Governor is empowered by notification
in the Government Gazette, from time to
time, to increase, reduce, or otherwise vary
the fees and charges under the said Ordinance, as occasion may require:
And
whereas such power within the Province of
Marlborough is now vested in the Superint-
tendent thereof.

Now therefore, I, William Henry Eyes,
Esquire, the Superintendent of the Province of Marlborough, do hereby proclaim
and declare that, from the date hereof, the
Fees payable, and the charges for food to
be made at the "Picton Pound," shall be
as follows, that is to say:—

POUNDAGE FEES.

Description £ s. d.
For each Entire Horse above the age of 12 months 0 2 6
For each Mare, Gelding, Colt, Filly, Foal, Mule, Ass, Goat, and Pig 0 1 0
For each Bull above the age of 12 months 0 2 6
For each Ox, Cow, Steer, Heifer, or Calf, for the first ten 0 0 6
Ditto ditto, the next ten 0 0 4
Ditto ditto, the next thirty 0 0 3
Ditto ditto, above fifty 0 0 2
For each Ram, above the age of 9 months 0 1 0
For each Ewe, Wether or Lamb, for the first twenty 0 0 2
Ditto ditto, the next thirty 0 0
Ditto ditto, the next fifty 0 0 1
Ditto ditto, above 100 0 0 ½

The above Fees to be paid for each day,
or part of a day, during which the animal
is kept in Pound.

CHARGES FOR FOOD.

Description £ s. d.
For every Horse, Mare, Gelding, Mule, Ass, Colt, Filly, or Foal 0 2 6
For every Bull, Cow, Ox, Steer, or Heifer 0 2 0
For every Calf, under 6 months 0 1 0
For every Sheep, or Lamb 0 0 3
For every Goat 0 0 6
For every Boar, Sow, or other Pig 0 1 0

The above charges to be paid for each
day, or part of a day, during which the
animal is supplied with food and water by
the Poundkeeper, but the owner may supply food and water, in which case these
charges are not to be made.

Province of Marlborough, this
Fourth day of July, One
thousand eight hundred and
sixty-seven.

NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that Decisions
in favor of the following applicants
for Licenses have this day been given in
accordance with the Land Regulations of
1st July, 1856:—

Charles Fowell Willett Watts,
District—Clarence.

Joseph Ward,
District—Clarence.

Boundaries not to be definitely settled
until Plans of the Runs have been sent in
as required by the Regulations.

James Balfour Wemyss,
Commissioner.

It is hereby notified for general information, that at a Meeting of the Ratepayers, held at the Court House, Picton, on
the 15th June,

W. D. H. Baillie, Esq.,
and
A. P. Seymour, Esq.,

were duly Elected Members of the Picton
Board of Works, in lieu of Messrs. Beauchamp and Freeland, resigned.
