IT is hereby notified, for public information, that I have appointed
C. W. A. T. KENNY, Esquire,
to the office of Provincial Treasurer for Marlborough.

HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified that the undermen-
tioned portions of the Waste Lands of the
Crown, within the Province of Marlborough, as
hereinafter described, have been reserved for
purposes of public utility, as follows :—
No. 1.—All that Allotment in the Town of
Picton, being Section No. 1157, con-
taining about 10 perches, as a Landing
Place.
No. 2.—Also all that Allotment in the Dis-
trict of Picton Suburban, being Section
No. 60 on the plan of the said district,
containing by admeasurement 34 acres,
as a Quarry.
No. 3.—Also all that Allotment in the District
of Picton Suburban, being Section No.
61 on the plan of the said district, con-
taining by admeasurement 7 acres 2
roods as a site for a Bridge.
No. 4.—Also all those Allotments in the Dis-
trict of Upper Pelorus Valley, being
Sections Nos. 23, 24, 66, and 73, on the
plan of the said district, containing by
admeasurement 330 acres 2 roods, as
sites for Towns or Villages.

PROCLAMATION.
By His Honor Arthur Penrose Seymour,
Esquire, Superintendent of the Province
of Marlborough, in the Colony of New
Zealand.
In accordance with the provisions of the
Education Act, Session XI., No. 4, hereby
notify that I have appointed the First day of
September next, at 11 a.m., as the day on which
a Meeting shall be held for the Election of the
Local Committees under the Act, in the places,
and for the Educational Districts following, that
is to say :—
Provincial Chamber, Picton
Court House, Blenheim
School Room, Renwick
Wairau Valley
Court House, Havelock
Tarrant’s Accommodation House, Mahakipawa.
Charleston’s, Kaikora
School House, Spring Creek.
Given under my hand this Twenty-first
day of July, 1865.

EDUCATION NOTICES.
In accordance with the provisions of
the “Education Act, 1865,” passed by
the Superintendent and the Provincial Council
of the Province of Marlborough, Session XI.,
No. 4, and assented to by His Excellency the
Governor, the boundaries of the Educational
Districts heretofore constituted, are hereby noti-
fied :—
PICTON DISTRICT,
Circle of four miles radius, measured from the
Government Offices, Picton.
BLENHEIM DISTRICT,
Bounded on the West by a Public Road be-
tween sections numbered 61 and 62, Omaka;
on the North by the Opawa River, from the
Western boundary to the Public Road be-
tween Sections numbered 65 and 39, Wairau
West; and thence by the said Public Road
to the Wairau River; on the North-east by
the Wairau River; on the East and South
by the circumference of a circle of four
miles radius, measured from the School-
house, Blenheim.
RENWICK DISTRICT.
Bounded on the North by the Wairau and
Opawa Rivers; on the East by a Public
Road between Sections numbered 61 and 62,
Omaka; on the South and West by the cir-
cumference of a circle of four miles radius,
measured from the centre of the School
Reserve at Renwick.
WAIRAU VALLEY DISTRICT,
Bounded on the North by the Wairau River;
and on the East, South, and West by the
