ing the latter road to the road form-
ing the western boundary of section

to the east of section 2991; thence
northerly along such road to the
south-eastern corner of the last
named section; thence westerly along
the southern boundary of the same
section; northerly along its western

PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by an Ordinance of the
Superintendent and Provincial Coun-
cil of the Province of Canterbury, intituled
\"The Education Ordinance 1873,\" it is
among other things provided, that the
Superintendent may, under the provisions of
section 26 of the said Ordinance, declare any
portion of the Province not comprised within
the limits of any Educational District to be
an Educational District:

Now, therefore, I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON,
Superintendent of the said Province, in pursu-
ance of the powers vested in me do hereby, by
and with the advice and consent of the Exe-
cutive Council, declare the portion of the Pro-
vince hereinafter described to be an Educa-
tional District, with the name and with the
boundaries as are hereinafter set forth:—

YALDHURST EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT.
Commencing at the north-west boundary
of the Harewood road District, fol-
lowing the boundary of that district
to the Kaiapoi and Prebbleton Junc-
tion Road; thence along the said
road to the Harewood Road by Ric-
carton; thence along the said road to
the north-east corner of section No.
1155; thence along the eastern
boundary of said section to its south-
east corner; thence along the south-
ern boundary of the said section to
north-east corner of section 1474;
thence along the eastern boundary of
the said section to sections 2068 and
2438 to the south-east corner of the
latter section; thence westerly along
the southern boundary of the last-
named section to its south-west cor-
ner; thence southerly along the
eastward boundary of section 2565 to
the Waimakariri old river bed;
thence along the old river bed to
Bealey's Road; thence along Bea-
ley's Road to Dawson's and Waima-
kariri Road; thence along the said
