PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by an Ordinance of the
Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Canterbury, intituled
\"The Education Ordinance, 1873,\" it is
among other things provided that it shall
be lawful for the Superintendent to alter
boundaries of any Educational District to
to divide any Educational District into two
or more districts or parts of districts, or to
combine two or more districts or parts of
districts into one or to add portions of any
district to any adjoining district, or to add
a any locality not being or forming part of
a district to an Educational District, and in
every such case the district or districts con-
stituted or affected thereby shall be deemed
to be and shall be proclaimed as provided in
the said Ordinance as newly constituted
Educational District or Districts.

Now, therefore, I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON,
Superintendent of the said Province, in pur-
suance of the powers vested in me by the
27th section of the said before-recited Ordi-
nance, and by and with the advice of the
Executive Council do hereby alter the limits
of the Templeton, Riccarton, and Fernside
Educational Districts, and I do hereby
proclaim the districts as specified in the
Schedule hereunto annexed to be newly
constituted Educational Districts within the
meaning of \"The Education Ordinance,
1873.\"

SCHEDULE.

TEMPLETON EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT.
Commencing at the intersection of the
south-western side of the old river
bed by the road north-west of section
1768, following north-easterly along
the road to another road on the west
side of section 4447, following north-
easterly along that road to the south-
east corner of section 2438, thence
along the southern boundary of
Yaldhurst Education District to
where Bealey's Road is intersected
by Dawson's and Waimakariri Road;
thence along Bealey's Road to the
road to the south-west side of section
5835, following south-easterly along
that road to the north-east boundary
of the Broadfield Educational Dis-
trict, and following that boun-
dary, and the boundary of the Preb-
bleton Educational District to the
commencing point.

RICCARTON EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT.
Commencing at the north-east corner of
section No. 9; thence by the Town
Belt to the river Avon; thence along
the river Avon to the south-east cor-
ner of section No. 7; thence north-
westerly by the north-east and north-
ern boundaries of said section to the
river Avon; thence by the river Avon
to the south-east corner of section
242; thence north-westerly by the
eastern boundary of said section, and
south-westerly by the north-west
boundaries of said section and section
188 to the northern branch of the river
Avon; thence north-westerly along
the north-east boundaries of sections
Nos. 94, 70, 83, to the north-east
corner of the said section; thence
