THE following Ordinances passed by the Provincial Council and assented to by the Superintendent of Canterbury on behalf of the Governor, intituled—
"Reserve No. 304 Ordinance, 1873, Amendment Ordinance, 1874."
"The Railway Tolls and Management Ordinance, 1872, Amendment Ordinance, 1874."
"The Public Seal Ordinance Amendment Ordinance, 1874," and
"The Appropriation Ordinance, 1874."
having been laid before the Governor, His Excellency has not been advised to exercise his power of disallowance in respect to them.

HIS Honor the Deputy Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserves, temporarily, under the 19th clause of the Waste Lands Regulations, viz.:—
No. 1691 (in red).—Five acres, more or less, situate in the Timaru district, taking frontage to the McKenzie country road, and extending south-westerly in a rectangular block, a distance of ten chains, the easternmost corner to be the northernmost corner of section 19197.—For gravel pit. Note. The land above described forms part of L.P.R.C. on run No. 233.
No. 1692 (in red).—Five acres, more or less, situate in the Timaru district, taking frontage to the McKenzie country road, and extending south-westerly, in a rectangular block, a distance of five chains, the south-east boundary to be parallel to, and about 31 1/2 chains north-west of, the north-west boundary of section 16241.—For gravel pit.
No. 1693 (in red).—Six acres, more or less, situate in the Timaru district, taking frontage to the McKenzie country road, and extending south-westerly, in a rectangular block, a distance of ten chains, between sections 19256 and 19257.—For gravel pit.
No. 1694 (in red).—Five acres, more or less, situate in the Timaru district, taking frontage to the McKenzie country road, and extending north-easterly, in a rectangular block, a distance of five chains, the southernmost corner to be about twelve chains distant, measured in a straight line north-westerly from the easternmost corner of section 19255.—For gravel pit.
No. 1695 (in red).—Five acres, more or less, situate in the Timaru district, taking frontage to the McKenzie country road, and extending back north-easterly five chains in a rectangular block. The north-west corner of this reserve is situate opposite the Albury pillar post-office.—For gravel pit.
No. 1708 (in red).—Five acres, more or less, situate in the Timaru district, taking frontage to the McKenzie country road, and extending south-westerly, in a rectangular block, a distance of five chains; the northernmost corner to be about 58 chains distant as measured in a straight line south-easterly from the easternmost corner of section 19254.—For gravel pit.
No. 1709 (in red).—Five acres, more or less, situate in the Timaru district, taking frontage to the McKenzie country road, and extending south-westerly in a rectangular block a distance of five chains, to be about 80 chains as measured in a straight line south-easterly, from the easternmost corner of reserve 1708.—For gravel pit.
No. 1710 (in red).—Ten acres one rood, more or less, in the township of Ashburton, being that portion of the Dry river bed forming the south-western boundary of reserve No. 308 (in red), and extending from the north-western Boulevard to sections 602, 603, 604, 605, 606, and 607.—For Provincial Government purposes.
No. 1711 (in red).—Two acres one rood and twenty-four perches, more or less, in the township of Ashburton, being sections 594, 595, 596, 597, 602, 603, 604, 605, 606, and 607, and that portion of 607 not included in reserve 308 (in red).—For Provincial Government purposes.
No. 1712 (in red).—Twenty-eight acres, more or less, situate in the Malvern district, bounded on the north-westward by the road forming the north-western boundary of section 12862 on the north-eastward by a line in continuation of the south-eastern boundary thereof; and on the southward by the river Wakaepa.—For pound.
No. 1713 (in red).—Five acres, more or less, situate in the Malvern district, bounded on the north-west by the road forming the north-western boundary of section 20724; on the south-eastward by the road forming the south-eastern boundary of the same section; and on the north-eastward by a line at right angles to the first mentioned road, so as to contain the above quantity.—For gravel pit.
