PROCLAMATION.

I, RICHARD JAMES STRACHAN HARMAN, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me under the provisions of the "The Canterbury Sheep Ordinance, 1872" and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, do hereby order that all sheep introduced by land from the Province of Nelson, shall be dressed to the satisfaction of the Inspector of Sheep for the Province of Canterbury, with a preparation of tobacco of a strength to be determined by the Inspector of Sheep aforesaid, before such sheep shall be driven, or depastured, at a greater distance within the Province of Canterbury than three miles from that part of the boundary at which such sheep shall have been introduced.

Given under my hand, at Christchurch, this 3rd day of August, One thousand eight hundred and seventy-four.

HIS Honor the Deputy-Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has appointed

THOMAS HOLT

as the person to whom the annual sums payable under the 55th section of "The Education Ordinance, 1873," in the Little River District, shall be paid, instead of J. R. Gilliatt, as previously notified.

as the person to whom the annual sums payable under the 55th section of "The Education Ordinance, 1873" shall be paid for the Akaroa District.

The rate to be payable at the Road Board Office Akaroa on, or before, the 1st day of September 1874.
