PROCLAMATION.

JAMES STRACHAN, Superintendent of the
Province of Canterbury, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the road known as the
"North Road," passing through the
District of the Kowai, and being a road
within the meaning of the "Roads Ordi-
nance, 1869," shall be and the same is
hereby declared to be a Main Road under
the provisions of the said Ordinance, and
that the said road shall be under the
control and management of the Kowai
Road Board, and the said Board shall
have and exercise all the powers and
authorities in respect of the said road
which are by the said Ordinance vested
in Road Boards in respect of Main Roads
within their respective districts.
