declare that the Oxford Road District shall
be an Agricultural District within the mean-
ing of the said Ordinance.

PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by an Ordinance of the
Superintendent and Provincial Coun-
cil
of the Province of Canterbury, intituled
"The Education Ordinance, 1873," it is
among other things provided that it
shall be lawful for the Superintendent to
alter boundaries of any Educational Dis-
trict and to divide any Educational District
into two or more districts or parts of
districts, or to combine two or more districts
or parts of districts into one or to add portions
of any district to any adjoining district or to
add any locality not being or forming part of
a district to an Educational District, and in
every such case the district or districts con-
stituted or affected thereby shall be deemed
to be and shall be proclaimed as provided in
the said Ordinance as newly constituted Edu-
cational District or Districts.
Now therefore I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON,
Superintendent of the said Province, in pur-
suance of the powers vested in me by the
27th section of the said before recited Ordi-
nance, and by and with the advice of the
Executive Council, do hereby alter the limits
of the East Oxford and West Eyreton and
the Cust Educational Districts; and I do
hereby proclaim the districts as specified in
the Schedule hereunto annexed to be newly
constituted Educational Districts within the
meaning of "The Education Ordinance,
1873.
SCHEDULE.
EAST OXFORD.
Commencing at south-east corner of
section 3736; thence along the Hare-
wood road to the south-west corner
of section 1890; thence in a northerly
direction by the western boundary of
section 1890 across the Oxford and
Rangiora road by the eastern bound-
ary of section 1829 a distance of
thirty-five chains; thence west in a
straight line to the Bay road; thence
northerly along that road to the
north-east corner of section 201;
thence westerly along the northern
boundary of said section to the south-
east corner of section 1009; thence
northerly in a straight line by the
eastern boundary of section 7585 to
where it meets a road running from
the westernmost corner of section
12705; thence easterly along that
road to the north-west corner of sec-
tion 12705; thence in a straight
line north-easterly to the northern-
most corner of section 10836; thence
easterly in a straight line to the
north-west corner of section 5271;
thence easterly in a straight line to
the northernmost corner of section
8175; thence from that point south-
easterly along the road leading from
the Ashley gorge to the Carleton
road; thence southerly along the said
Carleton road to the south-east corner
of section 6037; thence in a straight
line to the north-west corner of sec-
tion 13676; thence southerly along
western boundary of said section to
its south-west corner; thence
southerly in a straight line to the
north-west corner of section 10075;
thence southerly along the western
boundary of said section and section
11222 to the south-west corner of the
latter section; thence southerly in a
straight line to the north-west corner
of section 4646; thence along the
western boundary of said section and
section 4641 to the south-west corner
of the latter section; thence in a
straight line to the north-west corner
of section 13677; thence along the
eastern boundary of said section to
its south-west corner; thence in a
straight line to the north-west corner
of section 13674; thence along the
western boundary of said section to
its south-west corner; thence to the
south-east corner of section 13675
where it touches the river Eyre;
thence along the river to the starting
point.
WEST EYRETON DISTRICT.
Commencing at the northern corner of
section 13593; thence south-westerly
along the northern boundary of said
section to its north-west corner;
thence northerly to the northern cor-
ner of section 12697; thence in a
straight line to the south-east corner of
section 12697; thence southerly along
the road forming the eastern
boundary of sections 12709, 12900,
15417, 13682, 15260 and 45 to the
south-east corner of the latter sec-
tion; thence along the road forming
the southern boundary of said section
to its south-west corner; thence in a
straight line due south to the Eyre
road south; thence easterly along the
Eyre road south to the south-east
corner of section 9957; thence north-
erly along the road forming the east-
ern boundary of the said section and
sections 9956, 7167, 9954, 6690 and
4990 to the north-east corner of the
latter section; thence easterly along
the northern boundary of section
11008 to the south-east corner of sec-
tion 4676; thence northerly along the
eastern boundary of the said section
and section 8947 to the Oxford Tram-
way road thence westerly along the
said road to the starting point.
CUST DISTRICT.
Commencing at the point where the
road to the west of section 3811
touches the River Cust, thence south-
erly along such road to the Harewood
road by Rangiora, thence westerly
along the latter road to the eastern
