Land Reserves




No. 1597 (in red).—Twenty acres, more or less, in the Ashburton District, bounded on the south-eastward by the road dividing Sections Nos. 15855 and 15850; on the south-westward by the road north-east of those sections; on the north-eastward by Section 17386; and on the north-west by a line at right angles to the south-west boundary, so as to contain the above quantity, subject to a road if required on survey. The above described land is part of I. P. R. D, on Run No. 232, Class 2.—For school purposes.

No. 1598 (in red).—Fifty acres, more or less, situate in the Ashburton District, bounded on the south-eastward by Reserve No. 1597 (in red); on the south-westward by the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Section 15880; on the north-eastward by Section 17386; and on the north-westward by a line at right angles to aforesaid road, so as to contain the above quantity, subject to a road if required on survey. The above described land is part of I. P. R. S, C., and D on Run No. 232, Class 2.—For recreation purposes.

No. 1599 (in red).—Six-and-a-quarter acres, more or less, situate in the Christchurch District, being a strip of land one chain wide, bounded on the northward by Section 1239; on the eastward and westward by Sections 6680, 6681, 6703, 6704, 2564, and 2426; and on the southward by Section 1582, subject nevertheless to the continuation of the road passing through Reserve No. 336 (in red), crossing the above-described land, for which road allowance has been made in the acreage.—For railway purposes.

No. 1600 (in red).—Three hundred and seven acres, more or less, situate in the Malvern District, bounded on the northward by the road forming the southern boundary of Sections 328a, 4115, and 5513; on the eastward by Section 10058; on the southward by Reserve No. 1382 (in red); and on the westward by Section 14988, save and except Reserve No. 1557 (in red), which is included within the above boundaries.—For drainage purposes.

No. 1601 (in red).—Seven acres, more or less, situate in the Malvern District, being a strip of land one chain wide, commencing at the north-western corner of rural Section 14666, and extending northerly to the south-eastern boundary of Section 16639, being bounded on the westward by the road forming the eastern boundary of Section 12778.—For road and tramway purposes.

No. 1602 (in red).—All that piece or parcel of land one chain wide, containing by admeasurement sixteen acres, more or less, situate in the Timaru District, commencing at the westernmost corner of Section 17148, and extending in a north-westerly direction to the south-west corner of Section 16498, being bounded on the south-west by the McKenzie Country Road, subject to existing roads.—For road and railway purposes.

No. 1603 (in red).—Five acres, more or less, situate in the Ashburton District, having 5 chains frontage to the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Section 17298, and extending back south-westerly 10 chains in a rectangular block. The easternmost corner of this reserve is situate opposite the southernmost corner of Section 6423.—For a gravel pit.

No. 1604 (in red).—Five acres, more or less, situate in the Ashburton District, having 5 chains frontage to the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Section 17800, and extending back south-westerly 10 chains, in a rectangular block. The northernmost corner of this reserve is situate about 4 chains south-east of the easternmost corner of Section 17800.—For a gravel pit.

No. 1605 (in red).—Five acres, more or less, situate in the Ashburton District, bounded on the south-eastward by the continuation of the road forming the eastern boundary of Section 2252; on the north-eastward by the continuation of the road leading by the southernmost corner of Section 5344; on the south-westward by a line parallel to and 10 chains distant from the north-east boundary; and on the north-westward by a line at right angles to north-east boundary, to include the required quantity.—For a gravel pit.

No. 1606 (in red).—Five acres, more or less, situate in the Ashburton District, having 5 chains frontage to
