I, RICHARD JAMES STRACHAN HARMAN, Deputy-Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by "The Cemetery Reserves Management Ordinance, 1870," and with the advice of my Executive Council, do hereby appoint the undermentioned persons to be Members of the Board of Managers of the Malvern Cemetery:—

Ward Robinson,
Robert Courage,
Thomas Wallace,
Harry Archer,
T. H. Anson.

Given under my hand at Christchurch, this eighteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.

HIS Honor the Deputy-Superintendent directs it to be notified that in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the 110th Section of "The Canterbury Roads Ordinance, 1872," he has appointed the undermentioned persons to be Members of the Road Board of the East Malvern Road District, viz:—

David Dick,
David McMillan,
George Willis,
Walter John Taylor.

to be a Member of the Board of Education.

PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the eighth section of "The Canterbury Public Domains Act, 1872," it is enacted that the Superintendent of Canterbury, with the advice and consent of his Executive Council, may by Proclamation under his hand from time to time, delegate all or any of the powers thereby conferred upon him acting as aforesaid to any person or persons for any period, and subject to such stipulations, conditions, and limitations as may be specified in such Proclamation:

Now, therefore, I, RICHARD JAMES STRACHAN HARMAN, Deputy-Superintendent as aforesaid, by and with the advice and consent of my Executive Council, do hereby delegate in respect of the lands contained in the Schedule to the said Act, all the powers conferred by the said Act to the undermentioned persons, who shall be known as "The Timaru Park Commissioners"—

HERBERT BELFIELD, who shall be Chairman;
Philip Bouverie Luxmoore,
Fuister Archer,

subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained.

  1. The Board shall meet at such times and places as shall be from time to time appointed by the Chairman, or when it shall be convened by him; and the business shall be conducted under such regulations as shall be determined on by the Board.

  2. The Board shall keep proper minutes and records of its proceedings, and full accounts of its receipts and expenditure, and a yearly statement of the same, together with a general report of its proceedings, shall be forwarded to the Superintendent once in every year.

  3. This delegation of powers to the Board shall not in any way affect any lease or contract now in force between the Superintendent and any person or persons in respect of any portion of the Reserve No. 344 (in red) in the Schedule to "The Public Domains Ordinance, 1872," nor any agreement between the Superintendent and any person or persons in respect of the dedication of any portion of the said lands to any purpose of public recreation or amusement.
