NOTICE.

PROTECTION OF ANIMALS ACT, 1867.

His Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has, in pursuance of the powers delegated to him under “The Protection of Animals Act, 1867,” appointed the following persons to act as Rangers within the Province of Canterbury:

GEORGE PACKE,
WILLIAM GOODWIN,
GEORGE FREDERICK DAY.

WALTER KENNAWAY,

PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the householders in the Saltwater Creek Educational District have failed to elect a District School Committee in manner provided by “The Education Ordinance, 1871.”

Now, therefore, I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by the 87th Section of the said Ordinance, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, do hereby appoint

JAMES HENRY MOORE

to be Commissioner under the said Ordinance for the said district, in place of F. H. M. Walker resigned.

Given under my hand at Christchurch, this tenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three.
