on the south-east by the road forming the south-eastern boundary of that section; and on the north-west by a line at right angles to the last-described boundary, so as to contain the above quantity—As an endowment for the relief of the Infirm and Aged.

No. 1138, in red.—Seventy-one acres, more or less, situate in the Oxford District, bounded on the northward by section 4401; on the eastward by section 6539; on the southward by section 8154; and on the westward by the road forming the western boundary of the latter section—As an endowment for a Lunatic Asylum.

No. 1139, in red.—One hundred and seventeen acres, more or less, situate in the Ashley District, bounded on the northward by the road on the southern side of section 12577; on the westward by the Mount Grey road; on the eastward by section 4598 and 10825; and on the southward by the road forming the northern boundary of sections 8075 and 10,100—As an endowment for a Hospital.

No. 1140, in red.—Forty acres, more or less, situate in the Ashley District, bounded on the north-eastward by sections 9842 and 6125; on the south-eastward by section 9842; on the south-westward by the road forming the north-eastern boundary of section 9072; and on the north-westward by a line at right angles to the said road, so as to contain the above quantity—As an endowment for a Lunatic Asylum.

No. 1141, in red.—Seventy acres, more or less, situate in the Ashley District, bounded on the north-eastward by the road forming the south-western boundary of Reserve No. 1140, in red; on the south-eastward by the road on the northern side of section 12,836; on the south-westward by a line parallel to, and forty chains distant from, the north-eastern boundary; and on the north-westward by a line at right angles to the first-mentioned road, so as to contain the above quantity—For Educational purposes.

No. 1142, in red.—Seventy acres, more or less, situate in the Ashley District, bounded on the northward by section 4971, 3741, and the road reserved along the southern bank of the Kowai; on the westward by sections 3741, 7748, and 8000; on the eastward by the road forming the western boundary of section 9278; and on the southward by a line at right angles to the last-mentioned road, so as to contain the above quantity—As an endowment for an Orphan Asylum.

No. 1143, in red.—Seventy acres, more or less, situate in the Ashley District, bounded on the westward by the North road; on the eastward by section 10,377; on the southward by section 10,775, and also by the road forming the northern boundary of section 9252; and on the northward by a line at right angles to the first-mentioned road, so as to contain the above quantity—As an endowment for the relief of the Infirm and Aged.

No. 1144, in red.—Six hundred acres, more or less, situate in the Waipara District, bounded on the northward by section No. 7540; on the eastward by section No. 10005; on the southward by the road from Horsley Down to Weka Pass, by sections No. 7808, 6654, and also by a line drawn from the north-west corner of the latter section, parallel to the northern boundary; and on the westward by a line at right angles to that boundary, so as to contain the above quantity—As an endowment for a Hospital.

No. 1145, in red.—Two hundred and fifty-five acres, more or less, situate in the Waipara District, bounded on the northward by section 7540; on the eastward by reserve No. 1144, in red; and on the southward and westward by the road leading from Horsley Down to Weka Pass—For Educational purposes.

No. 1146, in red.—Sixty acres, more or less, situate in the Waipara District, bounded on the northward and eastward by the Waikari road north; on the westward by sections 10952, and 11106; and on the southward by the River Waikari—As an endowment for a Lunatic Asylum.

No. 1147, in red.—Twenty-five acres, more or less, situate in the Waipara District, bounded on the northward by the Waikari river; on the eastward by section 7484, and a line in continuation of the western boundary thereof; on the westward by section 7197; and on the southward by the continuation of the southern boundary.
