imbounded on the north-westward by
the road forming the south-eastern
boundary of section 9763; on the
north-eastward by section 7018; on the
southward by the road south of the
section 10771; and on the eastward
by the road forming the western
boundary of the latter section—As an
endowment
for the relief of the Infirm
and Aged.
No. 1151, in red.—Two hundred and ten
acres, more or less, situate in the Waipara District, bounded on the
northward by section 10,672; on the
westward by the stream forming
the eastern boundary of section 7538;
on the southward by a line parallel
to, and thirty-five chains distant
from the northern boundary; and on the
eastward by a line at right angles
to that boundary, so as to contain the
above quantity, subject to roads—As an endowment for an Orphan Asylum.
No. 1152, in red.—Fifty-three acres, more
or less, situate in the Waipara
District, bounded on the northward
by section 11,088, and the road
forming the northern boundary
thereof; on the westward by the
same section; on the eastward by
section 11,180; on the south-eastward by the road leading from Heathstock to Horsley Down; and on the
south-westward by a straight line at
right angles to the latter road, so as
to meet the south-west corner of the
aforesaid section 11,088—As an
endowment for a Lunatic Asylum.
No. 1153, in red.—Fifty-six acres, more
or less, situate in the Oxford District,
bounded on the north-westward by
sections 13,607, and 13,592; on the
north-eastward by section 12,900; on
the south-eastward by the road
forming the south-eastern boundary
of the latter section; and on the
south-westward by a line parallel to
the north-eastern boundary, so as to
contain the above quantity—As an
endowment for a Hospital.
No. 1154, in red.—One hundred and
ninety-two acres, more or less,
situate in the Oxford District,
bounded on the north-eastward by
section No. 13,607, and reserve No.
1153, in red; on the south-eastward
by the road forming the south-eastern
boundary of that reserve; on the
south-westward by the River Eyre;
and on the north-westward by Improvement Pre-emptive Rights K.
and P, on run No. 34—As an endowment for a Lunatic Asylum.

PUBLIC NOTICE.
I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that, immediately after the sale by public auction, of Town and Rural Lands shall have been held, at the sitting of the Waste Lands Board, Christchurch, on Thursday the 23rd September next, the lease from the General Government of the right of pasturage on Reserve No. 77A (in red), containing 64 acres, situate at German Bay, Akaroa, and lately in the occupation of Mr. William Weston, will be submitted to public competition, subject to terms and conditions which may be ascertained at this office.

SALE OF TOWN & RURAL LANDS.
HIS Honor the Deputy-Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has fixed Thursday, the twenty-third day of September, 1869, at the hour of noon, at a sitting of the Waste Lands Board, in the Land Office, at Christchurch, as the time and place when a sale by auction of Town and Rural Lands shall take place in accordance with clause 24 and clause 35 of the Waste Lands Regulations, subject to the usual conditions of sale, and in conformity with the Regulations for the disposal, sale, letting, and occupation of the Waste Lands of the Crown now in force within the Province of Canterbury.
Applications will be received by the Waste Lands Board on and up to Thursday, the Ninth day of September, 1869.
Also, at the same time and place, will be submitted to public auction, at an upset price of Two Pounds per acre, the Little
