PROCLAMATION.
I, WILLIAM SEFTON MOORHOUSE, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers delegated to me under the provisions of “The Gold Fields Act, 1866,” do hereby notify that the Tramway, known as the “Greymouth Tramway,” is open for public traffic; and that Tolls may be levied and Charges may be made by Joseph Kilgour, Geraldi Perotti, and John Wright, the proprietors of the said Tramway, for the period of one year from the date hereof, at rates not exceeding the undermentioned sums:—

Hokitika, December 14, 1867.
UNDER the provisions of Clause 12 of “The Gold Fields Act, 1866,” I hereby grant to Hugh Campbell and party a special claim of four acres at Kaniere, subject to the following conditions:—

The claim to be marked out by the Mining Surveyor, and the expenses of such survey to be defrayed by the said Campbell and party.

Twenty (20) men to be kept constantly employed on the claim.

Applicants not to interfere in any way with the sluicing claims on Kaniere Terrace.
-
All damage done to buildings or streets to be made good at the expense of the said Campbell and party.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Court has appointed Thursday, the Twenty-third day of January, 1868, at the hour of ten o’clock in the forenoon, at the Supreme Court House, Hokitika, for the hearing of the above petition.
