PROCLAMATION.
I, William Sefton Moorhouse, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers delegated to me under the provisions of “The Gold Fields Act, 1866,” do hereby notify that the Track recently formed by James Hamilton and Co., and extending from Rutherglen to Welshman’s Terrace, is open for public traffic; and Tolls may be levied by the said James Hamilton and Co., for the period of twelve months from the date hereof, at rates not exceeding the undermentioned sums:—

PROCLAMATION.
I, William Sefton Moorhouse, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers delegated to me under the provisions of “The Gold Fields Act, 1866,” do hereby notify that the Bridges, erected by Messrs. Aldrich, Boyle, and Thomson, across the Arahura River and the Lagoon on the north side of the Arahura River, are open for public traffic; and that Tolls may be levied by Messrs. Aldrich, Boyle, and Thomson, for the period of twelve months from the date hereof, at rates not exceeding the undermentioned sums:—

Double the above rates may be charged between the hours of ten o’clock at night and six o’clock in the morning.
Government Officers on duty, ... Free.
