Lands Regulations of the said Province and if such offer as aforesaid be not so accepted within such period such land shall be sold by auction in the ordinary manner prescribed in such regulations and at such upset price as may in each case be determined by the Superintendent and Provincial Council."

N.B.—The land on which the Town of Hokitika stands was withdrawn from the gold-fields on the 22nd of January, 1866.

HIS Honor Henry Barnes Gresson, Esq., the Judge presiding in this Honorable Court, has appointed that the Court shall sit, for the despatch of business accruing under the provisions of the above mentioned Acts, at the Court House, Christchurch, on Monday, the Thirtieth day of September next, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon.

In the matter of the “Debtors and Creditors Acts;” and

Re Benjamin Ellis, of Kaiapoi, in the Province of Canterbury, Wheelwright, a debtor.

NOTICE is hereby given that by an order of this Honorable Court made the Twentieth day of August instant the estate and effects of the abovenamed debtor were sequestrated and James Edwin Graham of Christchurch in the Province of Canterbury Inspector in Bankruptcy was appointed Receiver under the said Acts and the Thirtieth day of September next at eleven o’clock in the forenoon at the Court House Christchurch was appointed as the time and place for the hearing of the said petition and the said order was thereby declared to be a vesting order pursuant to Section 3 of the “Debtors and Creditors Act Amendment Act 1865.”

TAKE NOTICE, that the above named Petitioner has filed his petition for relief under the above Acts, and the Court has appointed Monday, the Twenty-third day of September, 1867, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, at the Court House, Hokitika, for the hearing thereof, at which time and place all parties concerned are to attend.

NOTICE is hereby given that by orders of the Supreme Court, bearing date respectively, the Twenty-eighth day of June, and the Third day of July, 1867, pursuant to the above named Acts, the estates and effects of the undermentioned debtors, were sequestrated, and the Twenty-third day of September next, is appointed for the hearing of the petitions of the said debtors, at the Court House, Hokitika, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon. The persons and estates of the said debtors are protected from all legal process until further order of the Court.
